@classwarrior123 yup it is! that is why, like a little kid, birds need their bed time as well, even if you let them out and about your house(which can be dangerous unless when you're with them), when its bed time, you take them to their safe, secure home(cage) for the night, lights out and they should be quiet throughout the night :)
pretty cool stuff, I just got a blue fronted amazon last night, the owner gve hime to me cuz he bit her, how should I approach him to gain his trust, I don't want to scare him or make him feel the need to bite me. Any ideas?
@7891midnight funny you say this, because I love parrots, and I have given up chicken(was my fav) and read meats, I do eat fish though for now, my feathered friends mean to me so much and I got discusted of chicken, seemed I was chewing my parrots up!
Does anyone else have a BFA that reacts with certain noises (hoovers, rubbing your foot across the carpet or crumpling newspaper) by pressing their beak to the floor, spreading out and roaming around with crazy eyes?
random question, i know someone that was staring at a parrot and the parrot said what the hell are you looking at, so what did the parrot mean by that??
I didn't use websites or books to learn how to teach him stuff. He is out of his cage most of the time, we talk and interact w/ him ALL of the time!! He tries to mimic what we do, we work w/ that and encourage him. He is a goofy boy and a lot of fun!! good luck w/ your BFA
I have a blue fronted amazon named Henry. He is almost 30 years old. I acquired him from my mothers friend about 6 months ago. He is in pretty rough shape. His hips stick out, and he has lost some feathers under his wings. Idk if its from stress from the prior situation or from being old. I have been researching his breed, but am not coming across much. If you could help out with some pointers that would rock!!
I love parrots in general, amazons and macaws are my fav! I want love them all! LOL
