Is it just me, or is Wayne Static beginning to lose his voice. His vocal cords sound like they're hurting like hell in this album...

I see where you're coming from, EnigmaProductions. I think it's got to do with this one interview he did on a radio show where he said, "if it hurts really bad and makes you feel like you're gonna cough, that means you're doing it right," and how you should do that for a a whole hour, 5 days a week and for a whole year.

He's been purposely hurting his vocal chords just to get a 'good' scream. But what good is the scream if it hurts like hell to do?

@malkrow21 Yeah. In some of Static X's old songs, Wayne really lets it out! But the problem with that is that you really mess up your vocal cords when you scream as intensely as he does. Take the song "Anything But This" for example. His voice is insanely powerful, but I could tell it was also incredibly painful...Him doing things like that for as long as he has puts a LOT of strain on your voice, and eventually, it starts to go...

Honestly, I'm surprised his voice has even lasted this long...

I actually never liked Wayne's screams in this album, they were so much better in previous albums. But I think his screams are actually better when he sings songs from Cult of Static during a concert than on the album version.
