As huge as this mountain looks, it's only about 12,000 ft. Everest is more than DOUBLE this. If you put TWO mt. Fujis, on top of each other you would still have to climb an ADDITIONAL 5,000 feet to reach the same height as Everest!
Chances of that are VERY low, there has only been 16 recordings of Mt. Fuji ever erupting and it first erupted in 733 and last erupted in 1707. Its been dormant since 1708...

I used to live in Tokyo with my family for 3 years when I was younger. I can't really remember much, but I do remember always looking at Fuji san on the way to my International school, because there was this kind of open area where you could see a spectacular view, and the Shinkansen lines below. It was so beautiful.

@ejdf870 You are correct but,Fuji is much more beautiful and majestic. Everest looks like a 29k ft. chunk of rock.

The height of Mt. Fuji is 3776 meters (12,388 ft). This airplane is still rising. It will reach the cruising altitude soon.
