i'm so confused. i was watching football hits..then commercials..now this...i'm pretty sure youtube secretly always makes you come back to the weird part of youtube no matter what youre watching...o.o
This is trully a work of art! Imagine the hard time you would get until you found this consistent optical illusion! It's amazing! This animation has been my avatar for ages.
I'm sorry, but this explanation doesn't help at all. The first time I watched this, all three girls were spinning in the same direction (counterclockwise.) The SECOND time, all three were spinning in DIFFERENT directions (the first clockwise, the second ccw, the third clockwise...) And it doesn't seem to help that the outside two aren't silhouettes!!! So bizarre.
If I concentrate on the picture I can make her switch direction every 2 seconds or so. It seems that when your brain chooses a direction, it sticks with it until you will/trick it to change directions. But the startdirection is indeed a consequence of preferred viewpoint of the mind. But what does influence that preferred view? Is it maybe when you are small so you look at people more like the right picture and that makes your brain guess it's counter clockwise?
@Confuzer I tested this by revisiting the site every so often, and I noted that it is completely random what direction they start in. In particular, it has nothing to do with what side of your brain is dominant, as some tabloids claim.
okay so it keeps going halfway clockwise then halfway anti clockwise lmao
