Its impressive and kind of sad the great ammount of people who made bad critics about this performance and actually DIDNT REALIZE THIS VIDEO´S SPEED IS EDITED.
Cmon people, if you cant realize that just by HEARING that strange piano sound, you better not be critizicing any performance and study music a little more....
to me a 'virtuoso' is someone who plays brilliantly, not just fast. I am not even an advanced pianist but I can hear the music being 'strangled' in some areas here.....and that isn't good.
I mean, think about it: who cares how fast you can play something? I understood this 10 years ago when I was a guitarist obsessed with speed. No offence, I am not saying the guy is worthless, but virtuosic performance is about expression. Paganini didn't just play fast.
i agree and disagree with what you are saying... virtuoso means technically brilliant.. its not about expression though most virtuosos do have amazing emotion in their performance... however i agree this guy is not virtuoso standard... at the beginning especially you could hear that the beat was disrupted wgich ruined your rhythm.. you are not virtuoso but still very good
The term 'Virtuoso' has been well overused, I am Italian and understand more exactly the meaning of the word. 'Virtuoso' derives from 'virtu' which means virtue, which in the Italian language has a more profound meaning than in the English language. 'Virtuoso' in music, in Italian means a brilliant PERFORMER who's especially gifted'. Virtuoso means playing brilliantly. High level of technique is just part of a real virtuoso's bigger picture.
yh i agree it had.. there is no definite meaning to it anymore it seems... but i have a book by Hanon who was a virtuoso pianist on how to become a virtuoso player and its all about finger exercises to strengthen all your fingers...especially 5th and 4th... and it even says its about technical requirements needed to be a virtuoso pianist which this guy hasnt quite mastered yet... i havnt either... im about halfway through the bk soo i still have ages to go
well in light of your fascinating and totally believable INTERNET CREDENTIALS, we're all invited to take the comments following your resume extra seriously.
give me a break.
just another bitter loser pissed off at a performance on youtube they can't match.
the internet used to be a refuge for skilless hermits such as yourself. now even the internet forces you to face those who have real skills and choose to use them.
this is beautiful i understand joke it not fast in reality it uses computers to fast it however i admire playing you do. good to view person still loving classical music style
Dude i'm a piano major and let me tell you, you made me smile lol. You think like me, screw the sheet music, mix match and patch the good stuff together! Yo try mixing moonlight beethoven with bach toccata and fugue'ish then throw a slow rach type chord section in there! platinum when you do all that and make it your own. Prophet.
A year and a half sounds like a very short time to me. How many hours per day did you study, and can you suggest some piano instructors and/or training programs or schools. You can answer this privately if you wish. Thanks
congratulations, heres a tip, play that same piece in all 12 keys, i do that with other works, it really opens your mind on any instrument that you are playing.
if bach were alive he would kill you. Is the virtuosism for you playing fast? listen this toccata played by gould!

Ja kiedyś słyszałem, że ktoś grał na fortepianie z rytmem... ! xD
By Translator;
I once heard that someone was playing the piano with the rhythm ... ! xD

the speed is a fraud, actually the extremely high pitch we get is a result of forwarding the speed at which you really played it. funny though

fast means nothing, its quality and expression

point here is you completely misunderstood what i said from the start. don't think much more needs to be said after that.
get your interpretations straight then.. you'll see there's no need for you to make a comment at all.

I understood what you meant by "this is all but impossible"
Which I guess means you didn't understand what I meant.
I won't take the time to explain it though. You're obviously well below average intelligence.

It consists of the first pages of two toccatas by Bach. So it's ectually two incomplete pieces linked together.
