  • if your doing the cam get the top end stuff done while your at it, will take longer to save up but i tbeats taking the stuff apart twice

  • you'll need cam, pushrods, lifters, berrings, and MAYBE rockers yours MAY work with the after market cam

  • He won't need pushrods, he has an overhead cam motor.

  • well he did the work himself port job and part installation which takes the cake on the money. and the 2v 4.6 mustang is nothing to brag about. full bolt ons and cams and its just shy of 300 whp. Most camaro and cobra guys say why??

    Work with what you've got and a 12 second v6 is much cooler than a 12 second v8. Everyone can get a cobra and go fast, that isn't hard.

  • well if u read the specs on the other videos like he says, he's got plenty of money in the engine. and i just meant that, if ur already doing an engine swap and putting cams in it an watever else he did, he's gunaa be in the thousands. u get more bang for ur buck with a supercharged 4.6 that will EASILY make 400+ on pump gas.

    besides 300 from a 4.6 with just bolt on's is still more than ull get from a v-6 with the same bolt ons.

  • how much did the h/c/i run you? plus all the dyno tuning.

  • This is pretty much everything I want done to my 03 V6. Im getting the cam soon then the heads and intakes. will be all from SSM.

  • can't tell if thats smoke or steam coming from the exhaust. sounds a little raspy but not bad, ur making more power than the v8's at that time

  • I asked my tuner the same thing, he said thats normal. You wouldnt notice it if you were on the street flooring it, but since the car was stationary it looks like more smoke that normal.

  • Dont think so, the cobra, Ls1s and Ls3s where making more power :)

  • Woulda been able to hold onto your torque if you would have upped the compression ratio....9.3:1 is stock, 10:1 woulda done it...im gonna run 10.7

  • i bought me a 90 lx stang 5.0 wanted to do all the work myself but dont really know how .i got a e303 cam double rolling timing chain set 'crane cams,trick flow valve springs,and roller rockers . dude that working on has had it since christmas i could have learned how to do it myself in that time but, how much h/p do u think i,ll gain

  • It cost me about $1500 in parts and I did the labor myself. Its really not that bad for an 80hp gain. I agree it's not an 8, but its what I had to work with

Im wanting to paint my engine parts too, and im wondering, where did you get all the seals and gaskets? I know they have them at O Rieleys here, but is there a website with a kit with all of em?

  • Thats pretty cool im pretty impresed by the dyno numbers usually those 3.8's are dogs. Thats pretty much all i do is look at videos and critisize people cars but thats a sweet v6 it woulda been even better if you woulda done it with the 4.0. I wish i could do some porting work on my stang

  • hes refering to the NEW 4.0. not boring the old 3.8 to 4.0

  • Still I wanna see someone shove one of the truck 4.2L in a stang and have it souped up.. I figure the 4.2 vs NEW 4.0 stock would have about the same horsepower but the 4.2 has to make more torque.. And as far as souping up goes no replacement for displacement even if it is only by .2 of a litre

  • Why not the 4.9 Straight six? I wanna see that in a stang. It moved my old F-150 pretty good.

  • Supersix motorsports offers a 4.3 stroker kit. All forged internals, good to over 500hp. I'd go that route instead of the truck motor.

  • that 221 is to the wheels, stock is around 185

  • Torque will drop with a high duration cam like his as well...
