  • Hi, do you need the wax strips or can you just apply it by itself?

  • it would be much better if you were a little more detailed about the process such as how long approximately does it take in your microwave etc...but thank you for the idea...i only make it on the stove top and it's very time consuming

  • 1/2 or 1 cup sugar?

  • ummm how long do you put ti in the microwave

  • what happens if u dont use lemon?

  • Comment removed

  • Can someone tell me how long to microwave it for?

  • @TheAmeliix you can put on the stove and do it.

  • thank youuu i did it!!! :DDDDD

  • If Yhu Put It In The Container And Yhu Have A Left Over Can Yhu Re-use It?

  • Think i may have over-done mine but i'll wait and see till it has cooled down. First time i stupidly used a plastic bowl...it only melted the bottom of the bowl! luckily it came off the microwave plate in my microwave and i managed to get the wax-sugar stuff off it! haha, what we do in the name of beauty eh?

  • Mine was a little lighter than yours but became too hard even before it cooled and turned too hard as soon as it got cool enough to use and broke. :-/

  • Yayy! Thank you...!

  • How can I stop mine from becoming rock hard? I've attempted this three times now, and each time after letting it cool it has become hard and unable to be used. What should I do?

  • @ChibiAlly That's what happens to me!

  • @ChibiAlly i ran into that problem too. i put more water into the pan then scraped it off my counter what i could before it got too hard then tried to remelt it i took it out when it about half way melted adn tried stretching it it worked well but after a bit just got wayyyy to sticky adn i had to trash it. what a waste. but i managed to get some use out of it before it was useless

  • @ChibiAlly @CastinCouchnCatwalk That means that you've cooked it for too long. Search other vids up that help more =] It happened to me about 3\5 times, and its kinda hard, but i think its easier to make it on a stove the first times. Then when you're better at making it, you can try it with a microwave. The mix should be just a little bit thicker than honey so you wont have to heat it up every time you want to use previously made wax. It you make it right, it works perfectly.

  • Great video!

  • mine is too runny how do i make it thicker?

  • @GroBom78 cool it a little before using / spread it on your skin and press a cotton strip on it. pull quickly to remove

  • @Unanimous97

if i cut up a white cotton tshirt, can i use those strips?

  • @GroBom78 Heat it up a couple of minutes more. You didn't let it caramelize long enough.

  • will sugar waxing make your hair grow back thicker?

  • @mrdomosaysrawr Since its a waxing method, hair should grow back finer than before :)

  • it looks like it should but when i apply it it is too hot and when i wait for it to cool it becomes hard

  • how many mins in micro??

  • Like the strips

  • Ik this may sound stupid but do u have to buy real waxing pads to rip it off or can u use something else

  • @Justinbieber00000000 you can cut up strips of old tshirt id use white just so its easy to see how much hair youre actually removing : )

  • @Justinbieber00000000

just leave a little piece of wax to the side with no hair to use as a tab . that's what i do

  • what did i do wrong? instead of a doughy paste i got a hard something out of this...i just doesnt stay sticky when it´s cool

  • @moonshinekiss I made this mistake too. If it's not liquid enough add a little bit of water. You probably didn't put enough water!!

  • i heard you can also use vinegar instead of lemon juice...what kind of vinegar?

  • @moonshinekiss apple cider vinegar!!

  • kkkkiuuu77777777777y77777u88u8u88uuu

  • PLEASE HELP ME .

I have tried TWO TIMES now to achieve this kind of sticky paste, without success. The paste isn't even sticky when COLD. What am I doing wrong? I follow the recipes perfectly well and it still doesn't work. It doesn't even stick to cotton cloth when I try (but my goal is to make a real sugaring dough so that I don't need cloths).

  • @occupiedusername Add more water, I made the same mistake before, however I don't use a microwave. But trust me if it's too hard it's because there's not enough water compared to the amount of sugar!!

  • I think I made glue instead

  • for people who didn' t get it easily off the bowl

soak it in water and then scrub the sugar paste off with a sponge that has a ruff and fluffy side.

  • can you use this over and over?

  • my name's amber :D

  • Thank you!!! That was great!

  • were do you live so i can kick your ass

  • wat the fuck the music was gay

  • mine keeps going solid rock!

  • @Jazminee97 You have to microwave it when it does, hun. I think 15 seconds should do the trick. :)

  • how man y minutes in cooking??

  • what is this used for? body wax?

  • @ShannonValdiviez Yes, you can use this to wax whatever, wherever.

  • a???

  • Pineapple juice doesn't work. It did taste really good though

  • how long do you microwave it for???

  • @Mochagirl789 i used this method and made a crucial mistake, never use straight away it should be a little warm or cold. i burnt a massive area of my skin because it was to hot ! good luck and be careful :)

  • It didn't work for me, I did everything right but it didn't stick to my skin and it harden really fast. Btw use a glass bowl lol

  • can you use it right after your done making it. if not when it cools what do you do and how do you use it later. sorry im kind of new at this but how do you use it after is what im trying to find out lol thanks!

  • I just made my first "sugar" ive let it now cool down and ill see if it works :D

  • How Much Time Did You Put In The Microwave? And How Many Times Did You Take It Out? lol

  • @mjpolish it means half a cup

  • Okay, I tried this, and when I put it down in the container it melted!! So I got it all over my kitchen table, and it melted onto it !! /:

  • @AngelIsaXD me too!!! There's some stuck between the stove and counter top, so I put mine in a porcelain dish and used saran wrap :)

  • 1/2 cup = 115 Gramm

  • If you can't use lemon or lime you can use vinegar instead :)

  • Is there anything else to use apart lemon juice..I mean anything?

  • My mixture seems to work correctly as far as getting the consistency and colour right, but when I try to use it, it doesn't pull the hair off correctly. I know I'm doing the technique properly (at least it looks like what I've seen online) but the hair just doesn't come off. It also quickly turns to a gooey, yucky light brown that's totally useless. Any advice?

  • Thanks this help a lot thanks

  • It become hard candy with lemon flavor :|

  • @ChouchyV my solution for this is to cook it to a lemony colour not to go as far as the amber, i used 1/4 a cup lemon, 1/4 cup water, 2 cups sugar, and then bfor it hits that colour i stop it, iv only had it work once right at that colour lol

  • is this the one you use with strips or the one you spread and pull off without strips?

  • @Lula4Starz u just pull it off

  • @GagasLittleMonsters the same thing just happened to me and it burnt my finger amd the stuff hardens so fast, i had to cjisel it off the counter!

  • Omfg LMFAO you should have said not to use a plastic bowl, as that's what I just tried and the sugar melted right thru! Great recipe tho, I'll make sure to use a glass bowl next time ;D

  • will it harden if you put down to cool

  • Can you like boil it ? I dont have a microwave -.-

  • Hi.

Can you give me an advice please? When I am sugaring, the will get mild very soon and I am unable to work with it. What I am doing wrong?

  • our names have sth in common :D

  • then du i reheat it before i use it?

  • how long did you put in in the microwave?

  • I can not stress enough about over-cooking the sugar and over-cooked it the tiniest bit and it screwwed up the whole thing! :(

  • It becomes too hard and I can't stretch it :/ I tried with adding few drops of water but didn't help much, still breaks like plastic.. What's the problem, help?!

  • @belma123 Usually when this happens its because you have overcooked it... I find making this to be kind of like making candy... a couple seconds over cooked and its ruined! I would start over and try again if I were you! I also like to use the wax when it is slightly warm still as it is easier to stretch

  • Uh can I use a plastic bowl? or ceramic?

I wan to try this but I am terrified I will mess up and my parents will kill me @_@

maybe I'll trick my dad into making it for me ._.

  • um can you used lime instead? or does it have to be lemon?

  • at what temperature of microwave should we keep the wax to be made?if it should be on high...then plz tell the exact or approximate temperature

  • how long does it have to be in the microwave? and how can you stir it often if its in the microwave????????

  • I DONT HAVE LEMON JUICE. D:

  • @ohsnapitsenna neither do I :/

  • How do i get the messed up sugar-y-stuff out of the pot??? I'm trying to wash it out and it wont work!! HELP!?!?!?!?!

  • @56729813546 ah yes, i stupidly poured my mixture into a cupcake tray. All i did was pour hot water in each section, left it for a minute then poured cold water on it (optional - so i didnt burn myself) and used a spoon to scoop out that gunk! :)

  • What Didd You Use, For The Strips? :o

  • actually, if it is that color when you are done, it means it is over cooked and it will be rock hard all the same. it should be a light yellowish color, and once it is cooled it will be the right consistency.

  • To get it out of the bowl:

Because it's sugar, it will dissolve. It'll go away with warm water.

WARNING: do NOT wash or set your HOT glass container with water/ anything cold immediately. Wait until it cools before or your GLASS WILL CRACK.

  • how long does it cook for?

    does anyone know?

  • i cant get the left over sugar off of my GLASS bowl:(

  • how long do you keep it in the microwave?

  • HOW DO i GET IT OFF THE BOWL.

  • @deidrapie did you use glass?

  • does this actually work? is it hard to do, please reply!

  • i dont have any lemon what els can i use

  • @Musicbizz100 anything with citrus

  • cna you use habanero honey for this cuz I don't have normal honey:'(

  • how long did you cook it for?

  • I do the same as in instructions in your video but my sugar wax don't pull out any of hair.Do you know that's wrong?;/

  • how long do i have to put it in the microwave for?

  • so no honey gud ... im go try lol

  • is it ok to use bottled lemon juice?

  • @GlitterHugs That's what I use. =-)

  • lol can u use lemonade??

  • do you have to use lemon juice

  • how many minutes total do you have to microwave it?

  • When i try to make some it becomes rough like candy or something. What have i done wrong?

  • are we only suppose to you the mix when it's cooled? or can we use it while it's still warm? and how long should we wait for it to cool? [: btw how long are we suppose to put it in the microwave for?

  • can use use brown sugar for more of a natural feel?

  • @ThePrettyfine Brown sugar isn't more natural, it is regular sugar with molasses added- I'm not sure how the molasses will behave in the recipe. I'm not sure how "raw sugar" will work in it either, if that is what you meant by "brown sugar" =-)

  • @ThePrettyfine I only had raw sugar and brown sugar. I used one cup of raw sugar, then when that ran out, I used one cup of brown sugar. It worked, but you can't go by color like a lot of people say in order to know when it's done. It will almost immediately be amber. You just have to keep testing it by taking small bits out and letting them cool to see the consistency. The recipe I followed was 2 cups sugar, 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1/4 cup water. Seems to be the most popular recipe.

  • @DamnDuckie thanks :].

  • I was wondering if you've ever made a bigger batch of this? And if so, how much did you need of each ingredient?

    Thanks so much!

  • @singer4life444 you could use the double dose of each incredient...

  • Can I use lime juice instead?

  • Can I use lime juice instead?

  • I used orange juice, and it was as hard as a rock. O_o I didn't overcook it though.

  • @0rangepulp 0.o Oooo- good to know that o.j. doesn't work then though =-) Thanks.

  • @o0OJenniLeighO0o I was thinking Lime juice may work as well? Any thoughts?

  • @0rangepulp how long did you cook it for?

  • WHA DO U USE TO GET IT OFFFF ?

  • @Penelope123321 What do you mean? I pull the wax off when I use it with cloth strips.

If you mean to get it off your skin or cooking utensils, it washes off with warm water- that's one of the reasons why I prefer it to other waxes.

  • @o0OJenniLeighO0o oh kk thankx

  • Wait, so you leave it to cool and put it on legs or eyebrows when it's room temperature?? And where do you store the rest?

  • what do you use for wax strips?

  • @ichoose2bhappy You can get strips from beauty supply places, like Sally's. & even some stores like WalMart...but I cut my own from muslin fabric. Cheaper! =-)

  • Have you tried this with brown sugar?

  • @dell126 Brown sugar has molasses in it- I'm not sure how it would affect the product. =-)

  • so, i tryed this the other day. I was wondering if it turns a orange/red colour that means its burnt right? or no

  • @kittykat0012 It is essentially caramel, which turns a deeper brown, then black when burned. I don't really know why yours would have turned orange/red 0.o

  • cool video, helpful. i love this song also, its been a fav of mine for a few years now :)

  • do u have 2 use lemon juice

  • @madyana789 you do. i've tried it w/o the lemon juice, and it stuck to my skin, plus it didn't take off any hair. i don't know what it does, but the lemon juice is a MUST.

  • @EbunnyEthereal Thanks for your input. =-)

  • hey guys is 1/2 cup sugar not too little ?

or 2 cups of sugar is that a better solution ?

  • @XxxMisS03SxxX As the video says, this is for a small batch. I've only got 2 eyebrows ;-)

  • @o0OJenniLeighO0o

oke thanks thats a good answer =)

  • when it got cold, it got hard as stones xD

  • @wettacoolghetto Maybe you cooked it too long, or try warming it up slightly to use. =-)

  • Microwave? Usually, I heard u use the stove to make this. And tablespoons of water and lemon juice? I've heard most ppl say u use like 1/4 cup of lemon juice and 1/4-1 cup of water. Are u sure this is gonna work?? And how long do we microwave this?? And even after it does turn that dark brown color and we take it out...what if it nvr stops bubbling?

  • @Shoppingstar525 I have 3 children, so I don't have time to do it on the stove- there are many videos with all sorts of ways to do it. If you search you can find one that uses a stove if you like. This is also a smaller-sized batch, so less ingredients. Also- once again- everyone's recipe varies so you can search for one you like. I've used it for years- so yes, it works. There is no set time to microwave it, it varies, and the video spells that out. Why WOULD it never stop bubbling? It cools.

  • @o0OJenniLeighO0o oh, ok.

  • how long does the hair not grow for

  • @weedyak That varies from person to person & what kind of hair it is. =-)

  • Hello....Q= But What iif The Wax is really Runny? Wat am i ment 2 dO?? =] what do i add more of??

  • @PakiiGyalShona Try cooking it longer, or adding a touch less water if that doesn't work.

  • @o0OJenniLeighO0o Thanx... =] btw How long can i keep the wax nd reuse it?...sorry for the questions lol

  • Yeah im makeing this right now :D

Haha but a differnt maxture soo hope it works !!

So far its too hot to even touch !! >..< So im waiting for it to cool down. this is the 2nd time i did this first time it didnt work but i didnt let it heat up long so im trying this again :P Thanks for the help with this video !

  • i tried it 2 times but each time it came out hard like candy so my fingers couldn't dig into it

  • @shahnazb Try cooking it a little less- or warming it up slightly before use =-)

  • @o0OJenniLeighO0o i wud love 2 try 2 make again but after the 2nd time im banned (evidently im wasting sugar and makin a mess)

  • @o0OJenniLeighO0o Hello....But What iif The Wax is really Runny? Wat am i ment 2 dO?? =] what do i add more of??

  • @shahnazb mine's the exact opposite...it gets way too runny and sticky for me to use

  • thank you so much for this! it worked my first time too. looked at countless videos and decided to uuse yours. only thing was I didnt know how long to cook it for so I just put it on for 6 minutes and every 30 seconds I stopped it to stir. :)

  • @riyias I'm glad it worked! =-) Thanks for watching!

  • Comment removed

  • is it crucial that u add lemon juice coz i want 2 make it but thats not in the cupboard atm

  • @MissSamm89 yes as far as i know it is because it stops the sugar from turning into caramel which wouldn't work on your skin anymore.

  • @Caramellum Thank you =-)

  • y didnt u video tape the whole thing?????????

  • @Iainteasy2find at the time I only had a camera that took short vids...& most of it is waaaaay the hell too boring to tape =-)

  • @o0OJenniLeighO0o oh

    ok :)

i was just wondering cuz u had a good camera to do it with, and i'm really slow so like, i need to see it to get it

    lol

    :D

  • i attempted this in the microwave my bowl cracked the paste leaked onto my moms marble counter i cut/burned two of my fingers trying to scrape the wax off before it cooled a piece fell on the floor my dog got it and chocked i had to clean the microwave and counter after scraping for nearly an hour i realized it just wipes off with plenty of water so i had the worst experience ever trying this and this stuff gets really hot so be careful!

  • How long does the mixture has to stay in the microwave ?

  • i'm trying this right now , so far so good ! i'll comment again later with my results ! (:

  • does it hurt more than waxing or the same

  • @sazzybabe88 My guess would be about the same... but my skin was so used to waxing before I found this that it didn't really hurt at all so I couldn't tell. =-)
