Rock music no longer has a definite definition. This is alternative rock, not just rock on its own. Alternative bands rarely have good singers and focus more on catchy riffs and making rock songs you can dance to. They are normally better live and have opportunities for the audience to get involved. Like in the song Ruby, the audience sings half of it. Alternative is good fun, not necessarily good music.

your correct there, it certainly isnt opera, however i can barely class these guys as rock, theres nothing rock about them besides the fact that they make guitar based music. but even peter andres new live stuff consists of a backing band when played live, and thats not rock either. look at real rockers such as wolfmother, alter bridge, chris cornell etc they can all sing much better and rock it, AB and CC (30mil) have sold a shed load more records and all make much better music.

Andrew Stockdale from Wolfmother isn't really a great singer, his voice is just unique.
