Another sign of the bad economy is when you see a lot of intermodals that aren't double stacked. I live by train tracks here in Fremont,Ca, and the last few months I'ved noticed a drop off in the # of double stacks.

Cool vid. I have railfaned this area lots of times over the years. I even shot vid of Amtrak's detoured Coast Starlight trains passing through this area. Soledad Canyon is just south of this area along high way 14 and there are some cool spots to get shots of Metrolink trains & UP trains.

I was there for the coast starlight on the 25 of Jan. I had my first railfanning video there. Its a lot of fun there. I havnt railfanned the metrolink yet. there a lot of places to pace out there!
