Some of those ships are from Viet Nam era and containers were used to transport a lot of stuff to and from Viet Nam. The first ship you filmed with the flight deck on the back half was a landing ship which I was on USS Vancouver LPD2. We hauled some containers to vietnam as well as troops and equipment to Danang and other areas back in 68 thru 71. We called them convex boxes.
