I'm going to get myself a hornet and having seen what you've managed to do with yours, I want to do that! but don't know where to get the parts. can you tell me if i need to get the remote controle models and canibalise them or if I can just buy the parts individualy.
Excuse late reply, you can buy it all off the shelf, E bay is good for parts you need choro Q fast motor, full river 30mah lipo battery, micro switch. soldering iron, steady hand. good luck
have you done any suspension modding? i wanted to make mines front suspension independant, but my hands dont work in parts that small..lol.. nice job on the rough rider!!!
use a 3.0 motor from a Bit Char-G or better still use a Choro-Q upgraded motor the Bit Char-G motor is slightly longer and you need to cut open the engine mount and file down the pinion gear whereas the choro-Q motor just fits straight in. Next you need a 30mah 3.2volt lithium battery similar to the ones used in the micro helicopters and a very small micro switch. remove the old 50mah 1.2volt Nimh cell replace with 3.2v lithium you need to cut and squeeze it in there, fit switch and motor.
can u make a vid with the materials and how u did it?
thx

I have a Tamiya Q-Steer Frog. How do I make it as fast as this Rough Rider?
