Tremendous fuckin' scene... Ari's constantly portrayed as this obnoxious, heartless prick, but this scene exposed his susceptibility and unwavering loyalty to Vinny. Fake Plastic Trees pushes it to another level. Easily a top-3 moment in the history of the series.

Ive watched most series, and as lighthearted as entourage is, this scene is one of the best scenes aired on tv, beautifully shot, well written superbly acted and or course what a song !!!!
to be honest i think this is one of the worst parts of entourage..Ari turns down a 10 million dollar offer, free everything, and would get millions more for the movies produced by the studio, he would live like a king. If my best friend had this chance i would encourage him to take that, and to be honest its very unlikely that someone turns down this type of job to keep being an agent. He could get him anyone movie had he been stuio head. I know the shows about brotherhood but come on
actually i think it makes perfect sense. Ari has just started his own business and is already extremely wealthy. Money aint everything, I think he would gain more from running his business and continuing a professional relationship with his favourite clients ie Vince.
Greatest comment I can give to this brilliant scene is its in the eyes what both characters want. Vinces eyes tell you he doesn`t want Ari to take the job. Ari eyes tell you he wants to take the job for Vinces sake, not for his own.
easily the most poignant scene in the whole series....say what you want about ari being an asshole or whatever but he loves vince no matter what....the show is supposed to be about brotherhood and the bonds formed between al of them, and no scene exhibits that better than this one
Yup these comments are dead on... definately one of the best scenes in entourage period. Lot of character in this scene...
And to the person who asked what Vince meant when he said "finish what they started" he was talking about how they started from the beginning, then probably till retirement.
It's a fantastic scene indeed. Although I don't fully understand the reason for Vincent not really believing that they could "finish what we started". Ari would be in a position were he could offer Vince any role he would want given to his increadible status and power through becoming the head of Warner.Bros. My point is that they still could absolutely keep that close bond between themselves. The only thing that would change is that Ari could more easily give Vince what he wants, right?
Yea but if Ari becomes studio head he won't be Vince's agent. He would also have other things to worry about other than Vince, you know? What if Vince isn't right for a role?
I can't even tell you how many times I've watched this scene, but I'm still amazed everytime. Aside from the incredible acting and filming, the music couldn't gave been a better fit. Entourage needs more radiohead.
Just saw it all from seasons 1 - 5, and this scene was the one that stuck with me the most. It really captures each character's essence, and the song just really puts this scene over the top.
actually i kinda knew he wouldnt take it from the moment it was announced...the writers know the show has proceeded too far to introduce a new character to replace Ari's role as Vince's agent (Amanda and Josh have been overused so they're out). Also, Ari's role would have become greatly altered what with the new work environment and all. Phenomenal acting by Jeremy Piven in this one though. Fucking shame that he didn't get an Emmy nomination.
The best Entourage scene ever. So powerful and poignant. I remember the first time I watched it thinking Jeremy Piven was the best actor ever on HBO. Can't say enough about this moment.
same here! although Ari comes as a douche at times this sorta shows he's still got a nice personality and that friendship with vince important or whatever
I'm watching season 3 again, and I thought of my absolute favorite moment on this series so far. BAM, here it is, of course it's on youtube....=) thanks for the upload. what a perfect scene....yup, i teared up just a little bit.
Depends on which definition of emo you use. Initially, 'emo' referred to a type of music - I agree radiohead and this scene are certainly not that type of emo.
But mostly, emo is used more or less as an abbreviation for emotional. Radiohead's music certainly is emotional for the most part, and this scene is emotional too (as far as tv shows can be emotional, but lets not get into semantics).
You're right about the overused cliche bit. Same goes for the words "great", "genius", "retard",.......
ps. I think you associate "emotional" with "shit" - I don't, neither do dictionaries, and its not my fault that you do. Nothing wrong with being emotional, life would be pretty fucking shit without emotion.
So less of the 14yr old school yard insults si vous plait.
Emo doesn't stand for emotional in the twenty first fucking century dick head. Emo DOES refer the the stereotypical person with black clothes with a touch of white, converse shoes, and black hair with a pink stripe. Just because gay referred to being happy eighty years ago, doesn't mean that is still HAS to mean that.
And cut the bullshit with the pretentious use of French you cunt.
makes me wanna cry. i was so happy ari didnt take the job, but youre right xcgrammer, it would have been the perfect way to end the series, but on the other hand, i dont want it to ever end!
I agree I don't know how they top that as far as emotion goes. That is exactly how they should end the series, I love Entourage. I was disappointed they have put Vince's career back on track as quick as they did. That is by far the best use of music in any show or movie ever. It felt like it was over and that Vince was going to go on to have a normal life out of movies. But overall perfect execution and editing and acting.

man great episode, i love how every now and again you see that even though ari is a coniving little prick to almost EVERYONE, he has a deep love, care, and respect for vince, this was one of the best moments in entourage, although i think Jason Mraz's cover of rocketman would of been a more fitting song to use.
i just saw this episode for the first time tonight. i fell in love with this song when it came out, and to hear it playing behind ari and vince is heart breaking! thank you for posting.
Greatest show on the planet. This scene almost made me shed a tear espescially when he shut the window....and to add they add in one of my favourite songs
So repetition=life. Think again jackass. A dude like vince who has burned just about everyone in hollywood wouldn't even have an agent right now. And to think that Ari would actually think twice about taking a greaqt studio job on account of vince who has fucked him over is laughable. Get a life if you actually buy into this bullshit.
Alright, please list some tv series that have run for 4+ seasons which don't have some kind of repetitive story line. The only one I can think of is heroes (only done 2) - and even there its so predictably unpredictable that you could lament about it.
And also, I honestly don't think you've watched this show ... Ari's only been fired once? so by using that as an example of how the storyline is repetitive..... you're implying that the show isn't repetitive at all? Glad we all agree.
I can name plenty of series that don't repeat themselves jackass. Sit down and watch "The Wire" or "The Sopranos" probably the best shows HBO ever created and then tell me they are repetitive.
I've watched the sopranos (one of few series i own on dvd) - and as awesome as it was.... easily as repetitive as entourage, if not more so.
But seriously, if you think "Ari is always getting fired" - it kinda indicates you haven't watched entourage, and for soem reason you just have a petty dislike of it. Maybe cos Ari keeps taking emmy awards? Who knows, whatever the reason, take your bitching elsewhere.
I wish sites like these had inbuilt maturity checks to stop people like you getting access. And no we don't agree to disagree. You just don't have a clue what you're talking about. For most people this would be obvious.. but for you I'll spell it out: watch a show before you decided to pass comment on it in public? mmmk?
Thats great you think I dont have a clue but I know a ton of people who feel the same way that I do and have all stopped watching the show because its sucks ass. You keep mentioning the ari getting fired thing, why dont u answer me on what happened to justine chapin? The chick that vince ran back to a party to grab and make his girlfriend?
Vince and her have had a long history back through the seasons - he did that to basically try and boost his ego after his flailing star-status. I agree its weird that she kidna vanished after it - but its been like that with her throughout the 5 series really (and the other 'vince-girls') - vince doesn't do girlfriends, he does fuckbuddies/flings.
Gmanbrooklyn, you're an idiot. "Whoever," and there are typically a few writers as an FYI, is "writing" the show does a great job! It may be a bit repetitious in plot, but isn't that life! The dialogue is always clever, the scenery is outstanding and my boys keep me laughing so piss off and go watch The Hills ya fruit loop.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
This show sucks and whoever is righting the show sucks. They rehash the same plot line over and over. 1)Vince acts like an ass and 2) fires ari 3) he cant get a role and everyone in hollywood hates him and he rehires ari. 4) vince fucks up again 5) drama says a cheezy and predicatble line and turtle smokes weed in-between. They also make characters disappear. For example what the fuck happened to the Justine Chapin chick that Vince was in love with. Now he is flying to europe with another ho
This is such an atypical entourage ending (in a good way of course). The 5th season has been so disappointing compared to the previous ones with medillin and all the Ari-Vince relationship twists until the ending of this episode. I'm generally not a big fan of "change" in entourage (remember the new Dom?). Hopefully Ari could turn down the Studio offer and recommend Dana Gordon. After all he's the reason to get her fired from Warner in the first place.
This season has been outstanding. Probably better than seasons 3 and 4. Pretty much everyone I know who watches this show agrees. This season has been outstanding outside of the episode where they do mushrooms in the desert.
Anyway great episode and great ending. It left you wanting more and on edge to see what was going to happen next. That is what a great show does.
Without a doubt one of the best endings of the entire season and the high point of this season so far. I definitely agree though, Ari should take the job and the show has to change.
as # 3 in trivia in the world ima have to say i loved the episode and i agree the shows gotta mature and let ari be studio head and yes it wud change the 4 guys from queens and the funny agent storyline completley but dont you wanna see vinny become a huge star and get a great comback right? so lets see how things pan out. BEST ENDING EVER
This Radiohead song makes this scene between Ari & Vince one of the best best and most intimate that Entourage has ever done. Ari needs to take this job as the Head of the Studio to move the show forward. Otherwise it will always be the same-old, same-old.
Tremendous fuckin' scene... Ari's constantly portrayed as this obnoxious, heartless prick, but this scene exposed his susceptibility and unwavering loyalty to Vinny. Fake Plastic Trees pushes it to another level. Easily a top-3 moment in the history of the series.

entourage always has great music.

But overall perfect execution and editing and acting.

i agree, this scene would've been totally perfect for the series finale.

Am I the only fan that thinks this could have made a great last scene not of the episode, but of the series???

Well done... the song really took the scene to the next level, and gave the show more of a "movie" like feel

man great episode, i love how every now and again you see that even though ari is a coniving little prick to almost EVERYONE, he has a deep love, care, and respect for vince, this was one of the best moments in entourage, although i think Jason Mraz's cover of rocketman would of been a more fitting song to use.
chrisclemens 3 years ago
love this song but why did they use it in this scene
masseyferguson165 3 years ago
It fit perfectly...
it pretty much captured the emotion of the whole scene.
When I first saw it, I got chills for 5 minutes.
I still do. Excellent scene, thanks for uploading!

I found this scene depressing. Time goes so fast and nothing remains constant.

Aris is a businessman, a jew to say the least.
Millions and millions of dollars or Vince? hmmm
Nevertheless, great show, the song by radiohead set the mood just right (yet i bet Thom will be pissed to know their song was used in a tv show lol)

A very cool nice and interesting ending with a very cool and interesting song. This has been a good season for Entourage
chuck6892466 3 years ago
So repetition=life. Think again jackass. A dude like vince who has burned just about everyone in hollywood wouldn't even have an agent right now. And to think that Ari would actually think twice about taking a greaqt studio job on account of vince who has fucked him over is laughable. Get a life if you actually buy into this bullshit.
Gmanbrooklyn 3 years ago
Alright, please list some tv series that have run for 4+ seasons which don't have some kind of repetitive story line. The only one I can think of is heroes (only done 2) - and even there its so predictably unpredictable that you could lament about it.
And also, I honestly don't think you've watched this show ... Ari's only been fired once? so by using that as an example of how the storyline is repetitive..... you're implying that the show isn't repetitive at all? Glad we all agree.
newtzZz 3 years ago
I can name plenty of series that don't repeat themselves jackass. Sit down and watch "The Wire" or "The Sopranos" probably the best shows HBO ever created and then tell me they are repetitive.
Gmanbrooklyn 3 years ago
I've watched the sopranos (one of few series i own on dvd) - and as awesome as it was.... easily as repetitive as entourage, if not more so.
But seriously, if you think "Ari is always getting fired" - it kinda indicates you haven't watched entourage, and for soem reason you just have a petty dislike of it. Maybe cos Ari keeps taking emmy awards? Who knows, whatever the reason, take your bitching elsewhere.

So we agree to disagree. Now go fuck yourself.
Gmanbrooklyn 3 years ago
I wish sites like these had inbuilt maturity checks to stop people like you getting access. And no we don't agree to disagree. You just don't have a clue what you're talking about. For most people this would be obvious.. but for you I'll spell it out: watch a show before you decided to pass comment on it in public? mmmk?
newtzZz 3 years ago
Thats great you think I dont have a clue but I know a ton of people who feel the same way that I do and have all stopped watching the show because its sucks ass. You keep mentioning the ari getting fired thing, why dont u answer me on what happened to justine chapin? The chick that vince ran back to a party to grab and make his girlfriend?
Gmanbrooklyn 3 years ago
Vince and her have had a long history back through the seasons - he did that to basically try and boost his ego after his flailing star-status. I agree its weird that she kidna vanished after it - but its been like that with her throughout the 5 series really (and the other 'vince-girls') - vince doesn't do girlfriends, he does fuckbuddies/flings.
And johnny drama is awesome.

Gmanbrooklyn 3 years ago
I think this is the most sophisticated season of entourage yet and I am really enjoying it. The soundtrack has been really good too.
nrp789 3 years ago 3
Best episode ever, I think... Turtle's line at the end is so natural... "Did she just call him a 'Spinner'!?"

That is what a great show does.

great ending to an episode. great song to go with it.
Bunch68 3 years ago
Without a doubt one of the best endings of the entire season and the high point of this season so far. I definitely agree though, Ari should take the job and the show has to change.
newhavenproject 3 years ago
as # 3 in trivia in the world ima have to say i loved the episode and i agree the shows gotta mature and let ari be studio head and yes it wud change the 4 guys from queens and the funny agent storyline completley but dont you wanna see vinny become a huge star and get a great comback right? so lets see how things pan out. BEST ENDING EVER
danman9993 3 years ago
best ending ever. entourage is the best!
chopstikz127 3 years ago
This Radiohead song makes this scene between Ari & Vince one of the best best and most intimate that Entourage has ever done. Ari needs to take this job as the Head of the Studio to move the show forward. Otherwise it will always be the same-old, same-old.
sohni47 3 years ago
Yeh I was disappointed by the episode till ... this scene started. It is kinda over-emotional though!
Entourage episodes have now ended in both radiohead - fake plastic trees and muse - time is running out \o/ two of my favourite songs.
And I'm not sure what I'll make of ari's character if he becomes Mr. Omni-powerful ... think it'd be a bit lame :(
