a question, when i made mine the other day, as soon as i added the bicarbonate of soda it fluffed up into a marshmallow sort of thing and turned rock solid in seconds... how do i counter this?

@parkourperson28 well, it actually never happened to me.. I could suggest, that you simply skip the step with the soda, or try with less. Most likely it didn't wanted to burn I guess?

no,flour and anything with carbohydrates will probably work as a fuel,i recomend sugar or energy drink powder though
