I been to N.Korea in a couple of years ago for sightseeing. I am Japanese, but I never felt N.Korean people were not friendly. And never showed any hostilities except the "tour guides" who checked my whole activities in N.Korea.

The provisional government supported the militaries that sprung out in 1920s in Manchuria where they were bases of them.The Japanese Army in Manchuria were looking for these militia groups and in fact the most famous battle is in Cheongsanri where Japanese lost about 3,000 and Korean militia about 200~300. Early anti-Japanese groups started in 1910s in Manchuria, Gando region.

Taiwan had better infrastructure than most of Japan. I have never heard of a colonization where the ruling nation (Japan) develops the colony to have better infrastructure than their home country. I know S.Korea is doing well I hope N.Korea becomes free and catches up to be as good as South Korea.

I been to N.Korea in a couple of years ago for sightseeing. I am Japanese, but I never felt N.Korean people were not friendly. And never showed any hostilities except the "tour guides" who checked my whole activities in N.Korea.
Text book has been issued based on public position. Not all N.Korean people do like the text book toward foreigners like Japanese and American.
They are good freinds even for Japanese !

I am Chinese and Koreans and North Koreans do not hate. I have read many books I studied in abroad. Among them, that there were mistakes in the Second World War, I understand. However, Chinese and Korean textbooks is also noticed that there are things that are lying and distorting the facts.

@hideyukiax im sorry, but smokey is right, japanese students are NOT taught that they were the agressors in WW2, they are NOT taught about Pearl Harbour, and they are deffinately NOT taught about the war crimes that were commited by them in the POW camps. I am sorry, but the Germans are taught that some of the things Hitler did was bad. Eastern countries have a problem with admitting they are wrong, and if you respond to this arguing, then you are proving my point

Those North Korean propaganda books are pretty fucked up, but so are the current Japanese textbooks.
The USA teaches our kids about all the bad things we've done like the My Lai Massacre, Agent Orange used in Vietnam, and sending the Japanese to interment camps during WWII. It's all there in our school textbooks. However Japanese textbooks don't teach about Unit 731, The Nanking Massacre or any other Japanese war crimes.. Some Japanese people will go as far as denying any of it ever happened...
