this is an awesome program. I have used it to practice and record with. It is surprising as to how good it is. The only problem i have had with it is that i can't cut and paste. Apart from that, it is really really good. When you plug it into a stereo it almost sounds like you have a drummer in the room.

Doesnt seem to work with my 5800 so i guess it doesnt support touch screen although im not too sure isnt N95 touch screen, but it also has buttons.

There are two settings in Pattern Info. Pattern length that defines pattern length in number of beats (1..16). Then there is Hits per beat setting that defines how many hits are in one beat (2..16).

Nice job! You figured out that the BeatEd UI is a nod to good old times and the Amiga/Atari/C64 music scene. It is also meant to be as clear, simple and usable as possible, not to have the slickest and glossiest wannabe-iphone-like graphics and animations. I grew up to use computers in the mid/late 80s as a 10y old boy and I still surely have more respect to those old DIY pioneers of "atari age" than to the modern age mobile industry crap. No offense to iPhone, you, or the mobile industry :)
