@mrRaiderz yeah its more pop today then hip-hop ...but as i said .. if u take some time to search u will still find tracks...maybe listen to mc's u never heard about befor or so ...sry for bad english gz from Germany
@mrRaiderz Its not dead just really hard to find. Look up some Aesop Rock or MF DOOM. Binary Star is really good but they only put out one album before breaking up but One Be Lo has a bunch of solo stuff. I get what you mean though I also thought hip hop was dead but I found some really good stuff by accident lol.
@WeirdoGaL90 Your post is a little confusing. "how can u not dislike this", you mean "how can you dislike this", right? In that case, I agree. I found this song a bit boring when I listened to the whole album because De La Soul was not my thing but now, I love this song so damn much, words can't do it justice!
All De La Soul albums have become classics. Yet, this is the only one I'm still able 2 listen 2 (perhaps due to the jazzy influence)... know the others far 2 much !
Okay, where the hell was I at when this tune played?! My love of music began in 1990 @ 15 years old, esp. the R&B sound from the 1970s on up to the early 1990s. Sure, I remembered De La Soul, ATCQ, The Pharcyde, but I didn't listen to them as much as I was w/ acts like After 7, Portrait, Shai, Boyz II Men. It wasn't until I was in the military in late '93/early '94 that I got my first taste of hip-hop, w/ ATCQ's album MIDNIGHT MARAUDERS and loved it. But how I missed this beat, I don't know.
THANK YOU!!!!! FINALLY, THE ORIGINAL!!!!!! The "na na na - na na - na na" from 3:42-4:01 is much better than that bass remix... I don't know why, it just makes the whole song for me... It's perfect this way!!!
check out rhymesayers ! hip hop is still goin!

The beat on this one sounds defintily more authentic. Hate when you can't hear the little things in it, like the flute. Thank you Prince Paul.
