Did Milli Vanilli break any laws by perpetrating themselves as the real singers. Granted the public were upset and demanded money, refunds etc. MV were just the faces of the band. There was talent there, but in the real singers voices. Instead of focusing on MV's fall from fame Artisa should have dropped the 2 faces and brought the real group from behind the stage (so to speak). Clearly the songs were highly popular. Artisa could have salvaged some dignity.
They got harsh tratment becasue they exposed the bullshit the record companies were using to make money., They still do it now. They need to ban auto tunes lip syncing and any other foney bull shit they do now. When they exposed themselves with this bull shit I beleieve it was the companys who made sure to ruin them. the vocals were done in a studio by 5 other people. the guys you say on stage were not the guys you heard on the album.

@kkw773 true but they were wronged as well. they recoded an album and thought they were launching their careers just to hear other people voices on their record! then were told they had to deal with it cuz of the contract. that's messed up! and everyone forgets that THEY were the ones who told about the fraud. the label said they could release their vocals on the NEXT album. so when they won the grammy they said no more lying. record execs said too bad. do as we say! so they came clean.

They probably adjusted now. With multiple sound backup devices in case one go crazy and someone watching the turn table. Were they that much cuter than the real people? LOL. They could have just dance while the other sing in background. In the end, it is the product we like. Lying is bad, but if it was not of this, then we pay for a product, like a film, picture, performance, etc.

Still hilarious because so many singers nowadays lip-synch (Britney!) and most people don't have a problem with it. I'm sure it was humiliating - those boys were kinda set up by Arista Records. Did Milli Vanilli break any laws by perpetrating themselves as the real singers. Granted the public were upset and demanded money, refunds etc. MV were just the faces of the band. There was talent there, but in the real singers voices. Instead of focusing on MV's fall from fame Artisa should have dropped the 2 faces and brought the real group from behind the stage (so to speak). Clearly the songs were highly popular. Artisa could have salvaged some dignity.

They got harsh tratment becasue they exposed the bullshit the record companies were using to make money., They still do it now. They need to ban auto tunes lip syncing and any other foney bull shit they do now. When they exposed themselves with this bull shit I beleieve it was the companys who made sure to ruin them. Boycott the record labels of today because they take these artists and most of the time force them to do this kind of shit. Then they ruin them when the artist gets caught.
