@ultimate26 Yes... Garands only have 7 bullets in a clip... You are not going to stand much of a chance going into close range combat with a small clip, you'd be reloading all the time. Sub-machine guns are more suited for the task. Of course soldiers DID end up in close range combat sometimes, but if the Germans had STG44s or MP40s. they would come out on top.

"arty as an organic part of their infantry strat" VERY IMPORTANT ADVICE THERE! you need to use arty with infan to maneuver a blob or whatnot. a hand full of rifles can fuck up a huge blob of vet 2 grens from that bunker you never dealt with late into any good game. If only you could see the look on his face when 105 shells land with no red smoke warnings :)

Lee Enfield was a commonwealth rifle. Olso there were no american real snipers in WWII - only sharpshooters (no camouflage) and snipers dont cooperate with the rest of the army. They work alone.

How do you get the graphics to look so good? I am using an 8800 GT, 3.0 Duo Core processor and 4 GB Ram, and never lag. Everything is pretty much maxed, except graphics, but when I zoom into buildings it looks terrible, just a featureless, horribly animated plane and not like the interior of a building should, or what I have seen in magazine screenshots. Any tips for upping the output graphically? (All patches are downloaded, and drivers.. It is Dx10.)

A Beretta is a 9mm which is smaller and has less stopping power than an M1911 .45, so I'm not sure what you mean by that...

A lot of troops in Iraq who are issued Beretta's as a sidearm have come to the same consensus that they'd rather want a .45 because of the stopping power...

Thompson uses pistol caliber bullets, while the M1 uses rifle bullets.

Although being shoot by a Thompson bullet won't knock you down, the high rate of fire surely will.

Look, a .45 is a manstopper, that's what it was made for. Have you seen the amount of lead in one bullet? Whether it be 1 or 15, one bullet hit's you I can practically guarantee that it will "knock you down".

Its worth getting. Its realllllllly good, and you can get mods for it very easily, don't need much experience to install, but I suggest getting the gold edition because it kinda sucks to only have Americans and Wehrmacht, or only British and Panzer Elite and not having as many campaigns

Well, I'm running the game on low/medium. My texture detail is medium, all the things with the engine, like collapsing building, is running at high. And I've got the model detail on medium. The rest of the settings are low at my PC but then its even a good game.

SupCom is a great game, but it's not SO amazing as you stated. CoH's gameplay is a bit better than SupCom (comments = short can't explain fully). SupCom has a few things that FUBAR the game (If you ever played SupCom, you know) SC's just a little too stiff...i've played both games 100+ hours each, all campaigns, online, skirmish...not to mention playing RTS games since original C&C, so it's experience talking.
