  • Greatt Design... But do you have a diagram for the board with the Relay on it? i would like to try this myself, i found the squelch tap with an output of like 2.36 volts. i am using the pro197 scanner. please let me know if you have one avalible...

  • @centuryvrproductions

I have photos, schematics, and complete instructions posted in my website. Please click the link provided at the video info.

2.36 volts will do for the relay voltage input...

  • @mannydeguzmanjartist

    Thanks... i found the diagram

  • Manny, check freeradionetwork dot eu

    I think you like that!

    Greetings from Holland

  • good video thanks

  • He's cute!!

  • Great job, Manny! By the way, you speak English very well! Would you be looking for work by chance?

  • @scott231us

Thanks. It depends upon the job opportunity. I'm a freelance photographer/ graphic artist and writer by profession. Electronics hacks and mods were just among my hobbies. I did this DIY repeater just for fun and for educational purposes (I'm a self taught amateur technician).

As a separate equipment project, wala akong schematic diagram or plans nyan. Pero lahat ng klase ng radio, portable or base pwedeng i-modify to trigger a handie talkie to transmit, based on the squelched triggered hack that I presented here. Kailangan mo lang i-identify yung squelch IC at yung 3-5 volt logic trigger. I suggest you get a schematic diagram or service manual ng radio mo. Mahirap i-modify ang portable radio dahil maliit ang piyesa

  • Hi !

    Nice job !

But the resistor at 0:55 looks like it has been just a little bit overheated ! xD

  • Yes it is burnt. I had a wrong biasing during the first few tries. I see smoke coming from the circuit, I got one transistor damage and I guess this one resistor was affected, since this was connected to one of the transistor's leg and the circuit ground.

i replaced the damaged part, but...I forgot to change the slightly burnt resistor. Anyway, this still works fine, LoL
