Fill it with RDX or something like that. Gunpowder to me won't cut it. Try Ammonium Nitrate/KNO3 with Aluminium. Or Acetone Peroxide.

ive made my own like this sort of but using a carbon fiber arrow and using a fuse. after it stuck the target and detonated it pushed the tip through the target and turned the carbon fiber into shrapnel. one of my favorite arrows yet.

you should make a hollow cone tip and pack it with black powder.. that way the charge would be shaped and actually do damage to the impact point. Instead of blowing up the arrow. wide side of the cone pointing towards the target.

Try using a compound bow or crossbow and filling your arrow with flash powder use a 9mm casing w/BB super-glued on the primer.....it works

Ok... I cannot see how this would truthfully be applicable in hunting, cept to really piss off some demon ;) there has got to be some penetration PREVIOUS to the explosion. I would think that a bunch of flachettes or even a larger charge would cause a knock down of the animal... I cannot see how this could be used without a time delayed fuse on the arrow, internal impact would cause further porblems. Especially if you accidentally gut shoot an animal. any meat would be ruined...most definatly.
