  • wow this lady needs help. I hope she has found it

  • God i feel so bad for Vanda. No wonder she turned to drink.

  • a real shame i feel for these people, it's so hard once your in it's grip.

  • wish the film would stop skipping from scene to scene, repeating clips. It is ruining an otherwise interesting film.

  • I've never met a problem drinker (including myself) who hasn't drunk for underlying psychological causes, but as the Dr in this says, these are so rarely treated. Hospitals spend so much money treating people with severe alcohol-related diseases, but then these people are just sent home again once the immediate danger has passed. Providing psychiatric support, while expensive as a pre-emptive outlay initially, would save so much money in the long run; sufferers wouldn't be so likely to relapse.

  • I certainly do get that she's had a hard time and I can't speak for that... but frankly so have alot of pepole, I myself used to cut myself cuz of my own gritty past but saying "It's a disease" is just an excuse to not get better I'm not pretending it's easy. If it was just that no problem. but she's CHOOSING to be a helpless sack of crap and to make others care for her, wallowing in pity all day is only making her suffering worse... I can't sympathize with her for that reason.

  • This is very sad :( I get urges to binge drink very often so I can only imagine what it's like to be an alcoholic.l It also annoys me when people who like to get pissed say "Omggz I'm such an alcoholic" It's a serious matter and they have no idea.

  • @deaconredwhiteandblu i hate when ppl say that too cause they dont know what it is for real, specially since i sm on and i an having a hard time to control it, is my nightmare, sometimes i dont wanna go on anymore

  • the history is always there You never get over it

  • Excellent documentary. Powerful. Thanks for uploading (or did you film it?) anyway thanks

  • my dad was war vet, died of cancer because of alcohol and it was a terrible death, very slow and painful, it was not a good sight to see, very sad

  • This is so so sad to me. This woman Vanda looks exactly like my mom. She was an alchoholic and she died three years ago because of it. I hate drinking and I miss my mom. Thank you for this film it is a terrible thing to see the damage that drinking can do.

  • im really sorry i understand i hate drink but i still do it

  • omg i feel like its me

  • My mom is an alcoholic, she can stop for 6months and then starts again. She's been picked up by the ambulance several times, vomited blood, fallen off stair cases, went to work drunk.........I tried so many things for years, she's been doing this since me and my brother were little and continues... I called her today, she's drunk and that's why i'm watching this...so paranoid i'll get a phone call one unexpected day.. Thank you for this film.

  • look into this medication: BACLOFEN and the website mywayout

  • get support.. Alcoholics Anonymous. They truely can help.. you don't have to do it alone..

  • My God. I think this might be me...I can relate, and have been aware that I am an alcoholic, but to see other people going through it, and seeing them so poorly, well, it has truly been an eye-opener. I have been lucky enough not to get too unwell yet, so I do need to think about ever drinking again. Thank you for posting.

  • how did you realise - i have sat here watching the proper film and recognised myself and wanted to cry - how has that poor child died ?? -

  • You're welcome =)

  • Thanks a ton for posting this documentary. A real eye-opener.
