The intentional spilling of water is a mild reaction to what she had already been through. I interpret her actions in this video as "see, it's empty *shake*.. now I'm going back"

She was ALREADY through security when the sippy-cup police nabbed her. Their bright idea, instead of just dumping it out, was to escort her back out and empty it there. Ask yourself.. if they were REALLY worried, would they have allowed her to leave and dump it? So why waste time and make her miss her flight?

How was she harrased? She is being exited out by the male TSA agent to dispose of the liquid in the sippy cup as there was a time when TSA had banned all liquid. Shes walked to the exit point which is where the female TSA is standing and there is a sign. The sign says once you pass that point you must reenter again through security. So the lady is walked out, she disposes of the liquid by spilling it on the floor and tries to go back to the secured area after she is in the unsecured area & stopd

If they were truely concerned, they would have had her in handcuffs by then. She was being punished for not being a good slave. @pfarabee I agree the procedure of having the passenger walk outside of the security checkpoint to dump it and then have to go back through security sucks and TSAs reasoning behind that is that there is a secure and an unsecured area. It cant be dumped in a trash can on the secure side it had to be on the unsecured side. If TSA had locked garbage cans on the secure side it could be done but this was a long time after a liquid bomb recentely discovered. Now TSA has machines that test liquids

TSA didnt put much thought into the procedure as they failed to think about passengers like mothers who most likely will have juice in sippy cups which they wouldnt be willing to throw away. Again, liquid explosives were unheard of and TSA took quick action and banned all liquids together. I'll admit I worked there at this time and hated the procedure but these rules are made by people who dont do the job everyday.

@consentida681 When I had to escort people out of security I would let them go right to the front of the line when coming back in. They wouldnt have to wait in line again. If it was a mother travelling alone then I would help her with her stroller and move all her things to a table for her so she wouldnt be rushed as everythings flying out of the conveyor. Bullet-proof, bomb-resistant cockpits and ARMED pilots/marshals. that's all you need to reduce airline terrorism and prevent another 9/11. We do not have to hand in our 4th amendment or dignity, or waste millions. I can think of ways to get an actually dangerous object (pistol, knife, or bomb) past security at the airport. The invasive measures do NOTHING to improve safety, and serve to criminalize and infuriate the public
