Nice! Those round hall lanterns are probably on special request from Schindler or from other custom Elevator Hall Fixture manufacturer. I'm guessing that the standard HT bell equipped in the lantern were loud and they only want it ring from inside the car so it won't be as loud as to place outside and the bell is too loud. At least when the bell has the right volume that it sound out, people can still hear it from outside.
