Nice to meet you too! It was a fun evening. I think it had a little bit of something for everyone. And thanks for letting me try out your ukulele. You get plenty of uke for the buck. Take care.
duffus- you are fantastic! If you could record a track in harmony and submit to America s Got Talent I think you are good enough to win it! Shouldn't have just a ukulele background, however. The lady who sings with you would probably be quite good singing something else but she doesn t blend well here. To use Susan Boy;le's expression, I was "gobsmacked" by your talent!
My uncle was Arthur Freed- producer of musicals who won 5 Academy Awards- my father also almost won. I know talent!!;;
This is very nice. I had two ukulele 78's as a kid: Frank Crumit's version of "Ukulele Lady" (which Bette Midler did fairly recently) and a song called "Lovely Hula Hands" by someone whose name I forget. I suspect it was Ukulele Ike.
Nice to meet you last night -- hope you get yourself a Bushman somewhere along the way! Love the vids! ~ Laurie in NH
