@LarsenSan there are just expensive or rare as hell. you can go hunt for the brave gokin but lemme tell ya the knees on gaigar are pretty badly done (well it does trans form and the issues are from the materials used on the knees.) or if you have the patience look for the max factory release which does not combine but how ever is extremely posable only thing in common is that none of them have a goldion crusher

I've always loved the final fusion scenes, since they demonstrate how well-designed GaoGaiGar was. Most mechs require us to be stretch our imaginations to grasp how the parts come together (Gravion and Godannar are in part guilty of this), but GGG was one of the few shows that actually designed its mechs in a way that the fusion and combinations MADE SENSE.

Agreed. GaoGaiGar has never been about size. Hell, in the TV series the primevals were all bigger than GGG. Z-Master was way bigger. That's part of what made the show great, in that the pilot is as important as what the mech is capable of.

In the same sense, comparing any of these 4 mecha to each other is pointless. They're different forms of total awesomeness, but they are all still TOTAL AWESOMENESS.

It seems people often forget that they don't have to hate on one thing just because they think another one is better, when both are completely awesome in their own ways. Personally, my favorite's always been Gunbuster, but I love GGG and TTGL, as well (Haven't seen Ideon), so it's a little bit of a buzzkill to see all this bickering.

GL's themes are inconsistent, and the quality/ polish is not quite up to GGG standards, which is comparable to Gunbuster.
GL had Imaishi and a better writer (imo) than GGG FINAL, a better staff overall, but a LOT less heart and legacy. GGG was influential, GL was influenced.
To understand why people love TTGL, we have to define a scale of hotbloodiness out of 10. In average, TTGL is a 6, with peak moments of 8/9 (Kamina, Kttan, Lord Genome). This difference makes people believe that the show is more awesome than it really is.
On the other hand, Gaogaigar is a 7, with 9/10 moments (Zonuda, EI01, last battle). Then FINAL is 8/9 in average, and the last fight is a straight 10 while Genesic is on scene. The difference being lower, people tend to think that it's less otblooded, when in fact is way over TTGL.
...But again, most of you will just says "lol opinions" to this.
GGG was a hell of alot more badass than TTGL to me. I saw TTGL first then wanted to see some of the inspiration behind it discovering GGG and I must say, GGG was the more epic series and robot. Even design wise GGG makes Gurren Lagann look bad. GGG has one of my all time favorite designs for a giant robot! Everything about the design is powerfull!
Without Genesic GaoGaiGar there would not BE a Gurren Lagann. there's a reason why GaoGaiGar is one of the most popular super robots in mecha historyright up there with Gunbuster, Getter Robo and Mazinger Z.

Dude , GaoGaigar is what , 60 m tall and 20 m wide ? TTGL is bigger than our galaxy and Giga Drill breaker would leave GGG hurting in the morning . GGG is badass , but in terms of power it can't compare to TTGL . And with a few exceptions , GGG series was more GARlock than TTGL ( anyone dare says Kamina's death wasn't epic , I'll giga drill break them myself )

TTGL was epic and all but i mean but saying he would beat gaogaigar hands down is bullshit just cause he was the size of a universe and all was just big against big. to me when a small ass robot beat a BIG ASSSS enemy tht is when u freak out. Example shin getter robo cutting Jupiter and the moons come on the is strong and gaogaigar wud be a match for GL anyday.
P.S Musashi death ( righteous suicide ) was to me more epic than Kamina's death anyday
Mikoto can survive in space for a shot time because she is a "semi-evoluder" or something like that. The transformation into Zonuda at the end of the tv series gave her some superhuman habilities (she was the only one to awake in final when all the other GGG memebers were affected by the virus-wanna-be of Palpareppa, too)
Mikoto wasn't an Evoluder right away. At first, as Zonuda Robo, she was a new kind of Zonder that could regenerate and assimilate anything around her. She became an Evoluder with Gai after she was purified by Mamoru's power (Although Guy was the one tapping into it).
Well, regarding about that Ideon issue, there are a few details: 1) When ANYTHING get smashed by the goldion hammer, it does no explode, it just turns into harmless light. Should that be the infinite energy of the Ideon, sure it would make quite a flash, but nothing more. 2) I am not completly sure, but there also seems to be a Gadget Tool that alows GGGG to create something similar the ES Windows, thing that would alow it to escape form Ideon explosion (and if it not, simply use the Pliers).
Now instead of him screaming "GAO GAI GAAARRR!!!", imagine him saying "I AM GOD!"

I've always loved the final fusion scenes, since they demonstrate how well-designed GaoGaiGar was. Most mechs require us to be stretch our imaginations to grasp how the parts come together (Gravion and Godannar are in part guilty of this), but GGG was one of the few shows that actually designed its mechs in a way that the fusion and combinations MADE SENSE.

Agreed. GaoGaiGar has never been about size. Hell, in the TV series the primevals were all bigger than GGG. Z-Master was way bigger. That's part of what made the show great, in that the pilot is as important as what the mech is capable of.

To everyone comparing Ideon, Gurren-Lagan, Gunbuster, and GaoGaiGar:
You all are basically comparing every nuke on the planet going off simultaneously, Mars going out of orbit and smashing into the Earth, the Sun going nova, and God hitting Reset: They're different forms of "we're fucked", but the fact remains that WE'RE FUCKED.
In the same sense, comparing any of these 4 mecha to each other is pointless. They're different forms of total awesomeness, but they are all still TOTAL AWESOMENESS.

It seems people often forget that they don't have to hate on one thing just because they think another one is better, when both are completely awesome in their own ways. Personally, my favorite's always been Gunbuster, but I love GGG and TTGL, as well (Haven't seen Ideon), so it's a little bit of a buzzkill to see all this bickering.

I don't see how anyone can even think GL comes close to the level of awesome that is GGG. GL was nothing but a warm up for me when I moved on to GGG.

GL's themes are inconsistent, and the quality/ polish is not quite up to GGG standards, which is comparable to Gunbuster.
GL had Imaishi and a better writer (imo) than GGG FINAL, a better staff overall, but a LOT less heart and legacy. GGG was influential, GL was influenced.

To understand why people love TTGL, we have to define a scale of hotbloodiness out of 10. In average, TTGL is a 6, with peak moments of 8/9 (Kamina, Kttan, Lord Genome). This difference makes people believe that the show is more awesome than it really is.

On the other hand, Gaogaigar is a 7, with 9/10 moments (Zonuda, EI01, last battle). Then FINAL is 8/9 in average, and the last fight is a straight 10 while Genesic is on scene. The difference being lower, people tend to think that it's less otblooded, when in fact is way over TTGL.
...But again, most of you will just says "lol opinions" to this.

GGG was a hell of alot more badass than TTGL to me. I saw TTGL first then wanted to see some of the inspiration behind it discovering GGG and I must say, GGG was the more epic series and robot. Even design wise GGG makes Gurren Lagann look bad. GGG has one of my all time favorite designs for a giant robot! Everything about the design is powerfull!

Without Genesic GaoGaiGar there would not BE a Gurren Lagann. there's a reason why GaoGaiGar is one of the most popular super robots in mecha historyright up there with Gunbuster, Getter Robo and Mazinger Z.

Dude , GaoGaigar is what , 60 m tall and 20 m wide ? TTGL is bigger than our galaxy and Giga Drill breaker would leave GGG hurting in the morning . GGG is badass , but in terms of power it can't compare to TTGL . And with a few exceptions , GGG series was more GARlock than TTGL ( anyone dare says Kamina's death wasn't epic , I'll giga drill break them myself )

Example shin getter robo cutting Jupiter and the moons come on the is strong and gaogaigar wud be a match for GL anyday.

Mikoto can survive in space for a shot time because she is a "semi-evoluder" or something like that. The transformation into Zonuda at the end of the tv series gave her some superhuman habilities (she was the only one to awake in final when all the other GGG memebers were affected by the virus-wanna-be of Palpareppa, too)

Actually, you missed something, there.
Mikoto wasn't an Evoluder right away. At first, as Zonuda Robo, she was a new kind of Zonder that could regenerate and assimilate anything around her. She became an Evoluder with Gai after she was purified by Mamoru's power (Although Guy was the one tapping into it).

Well, regarding about that Ideon issue, there are a few details: 1) When ANYTHING get smashed by the goldion hammer, it does no explode, it just turns into harmless light. Should that be the infinite energy of the Ideon, sure it would make quite a flash, but nothing more. 2) I am not completly sure, but there also seems to be a Gadget Tool that alows GGGG to create something similar the ES Windows, thing that would alow it to escape form Ideon explosion (and if it not, simply use the Pliers).
