Fantastic to see more classes in Scotland. My mate and I coach Free running through in Dundee; to kids, and it's great to see others taking up the call to coach the youth of today in this discipline. Well done guys.
This is a nice and helpful thing to do and its free but everything your teaching them, doesn't look much good because they can just go to a gymnasium or out on the streets where the sport was created.
Simply a place where youngsters can enjoy a FREE Parkour class at the Tramway in Glasgow and socialise with other people with simailar interests who wish to learn.
@3ernI can you explain to me how this is commercialising Parkour?
This is a free class where young people can come and learn Parkoru in a safe evironment - they dont pay, there's no exploitation and they get acces to something they would not otherwise.
looks like a really nice class... well structured and also focusing a lot on keeping in shape rather than "just jumping over stuff" which is what people normally generalise as parkour or freerunning
Free Running is a term that was first used in a documentary to help translate Parkour to the English speaking audience. It's the same as Parkour even though many people think they're different.
Parkour does is nothing to do with flips but if you wanted to learn them I'd advise that you seek proper intruction from a qualified gymnast instructor.
Not yet, I think they want to really be on top of their fitness before they do. Me and my friend have done the course though if you're wanting to know about it.

Guys, i see a lot of " Parkour is this and Freerunning is that " comments here..
..Don't worry yourself with labels and definitions, just move.
At the end of the day it's all just movement and over complicating your training with labels and definitions does nothing but limit yourself.

Parkour means to get from Point A to Point B as fast as possible.
Freerunning is to get from Point A to Point B in as much style as possible.

Aye that lol :P
