Honestly, as a conservative I have a respect for most MSNBC and CNN anchors (not Keith Olbermann...maturity of a 12 year old) but the HuffPo would be better off in Moscow in 1917.

I thought this commentary was fair. She used examples from the left, the right, the middle, and the rest of the world - which doesn't care about an American left-right divide.

Journalism is a profession and a craft that can not simply be picked up as a hobby by any Joe or Jane with a video camera.. Citizen film and art critics? Yes. Citizen journalists? No. The pursuit of truth and learning the beat and players of a story requires time, effort, and the talent that comes with experience as with any job. I believe these "citizen journalists" can serve as fantastic resources if they are in the right place at the right time, but they're still just resources.
I love her voice and everything she is trying to do. She is part of a foundation of grass roots stuff which this net is all going to tie together so we the people can tell the powers that be what we want.
Actually, I think a great example of citizen journalism was provided by New Yorkers catching NYPD cops beating on bicyclists. And the LAPD and SFPD doing likewise (or worse). But Huffington, whose Huffington Post is increasingly tame, misses these American classics.

Journalism is a profession and a craft that can not simply be picked up as a hobby by any Joe or Jane with a video camera.. Citizen film and art critics? Yes. Citizen journalists? No. The pursuit of truth and learning the beat and players of a story requires time, effort, and the talent that comes with experience as with any job. I believe these "citizen journalists" can serve as fantastic resources if they are in the right place at the right time, but they're still just resources.

I lost in trust in HP. I looked how a guy called Jim Luce presents sri lankan ethnic problem in HP. He just presents as a propaganda mouthpiece for sri lankan government and hids or defends all its atrocities against the minority tamils. He doesn't allow most of the views opposing him. HP lets him go on as he writes even after few wrote to HP in the name of Freedom of Speech.
Never let Tamils in that land never heard even after 30,000 dead & 300,000 in camps in six months.

Why is it that reporters who say thay have no opinion have such staunch opinions. Our media is controling us. Iran is finaly trying to fight for freedom and the best this country does to help these folks is ask twitter not shut down. Huffington is one sided and anyone who has a different of opinion is hunted down and destroyed. Media contol is first on the list to socialism. Do you remember socialism? its bad. very bad.
