It's so cool to see the Hitchhiking ghosts animated. Better then that, all the references to the Haunted Mansion (phantom manor included, hence the rotting bride). Seeing this, I can really see a succesful animated HM tv show or movie. Now that would be cool. So, does anyone have any good storys for some of the mansion characters?

As for the Mansion itself, besides that comedy farce from 2003 starring Eddie Murphy, Del Toro is doing his own take, with more focus on the Mansion's 999 Grim Grinning Ghosts, including the return of the long-since-thought-departed Hatbox Ghost, & making the film scary when needed & fun when necessary.

@TherealRNO I really can not wait for Del Toros new Haunted Mansion movie. I know it was brought up at the 2010 comic con, so I hope the new movie comes out next year. For all of us die hard Mansion fans, the best part about the movie will be the Hatbox Ghost, that I know for sure. Step aside Captain Jack Sparrow, Old Hatty is coming to town.

Sure, Jack is the Pumpkin King of HalloweenTown, but Nightmare Before Christmas doesn't count as a true Halloween film, because it cannot decide which holiday to be (Halloween or Christmas). Besides, Satan--whom Hades is, since Hades is another name for The Ultimate Evil--IS the head honcho of a pagan holiday that was historically dedicated to him.

Besides, since "Nightmare Before Christmas" was animated in stop-motion, so to have characters from that film appear on HoM would be pretty difficult. (It's for that same reason why we don't see Pixar characters at the House. Lack of TV Animation characters, however, has no excuse.)
