I think people fail to see that when "Samba" is mentioned on SYTYCD and other such dance shows, it refers to Ballroom Samba, not Brazilian Samba. Obviously the former had roots in the latter, but you definitely wouldn't see Samba Rolls in Shadow Position and Promenade Runs in Brazilian Samba!

@soude1986 What are you on about!!???? I am a high ranked international latin dancer, Your childish comment about this not being a samba is just stupid. It demonstrates half half whole timing which is key to samba, but not only that but it also involves three quarter, quarter whole timing. Which makes it an advance samba. It uses samba basic steps such as crusados walks and batucadas and some wisks. It also involves some showy steps too but despite this it still involves the key samba elements.

Sorry but that was not even close too looking like samba. No offense to the choreographer. Even if it was "African" inspired it just didn't look right at all. Just look at ANY professional Samba dancers and you will notice the BIG difference. It seemed that there just wasn't enough hip movement nor any feeling and groove put into it. Just being honest. I'll give them a C for effort.

The fact that shes a professional ballerina and a pilates instructor it can really help in areas like lyrical contemporary where it requires a lot of flexibility and she does beautiful extensions. As a ballerina her landings are soft and everything is like placed and so graceful. That isn't that good with hip hop where its more down to earth style. Henry looks so good with his new hair cute so hot with a sexy ass ROFL

Why are you comparing Australia to America's SYTYCD? Australia is only starting its second season this year and America is in its fifth next year. Also, America has a bigger pool of dancers to draw from, and logically, the talent would be of a higher standard in the US than in Australia.

Australia's SYTYCD was a massive disappointment considering that we were expecting something similar to what was being broadcast from the States...

This routine was by far the best of the whole season and showed what Australians are capable of.

This is such an awesome routine - great choreography, great performances, and great dancing. Vanessa did a truly excellent job (and I say that as someone who's not a big Vanessa fan), and Henry was just pure sex, and they worked really well together.

And I hate to be so incredibly shallow but his ass in those pants are something else (I thoroughly enjoyed some of the camerawork here) - he looked incredibly hot to say the very least.
