its based on operation anaconda march 2002 i bielieve, afganastan although the ending has been tweaked slightly as what happend was the navey seal that fell out of the chopper put up a pretty good fight on his own for half an hour till his SAW jammed swapping to his pistol untill he ran out of ammo unable to run due to being hit in the leg by incoming fire, he was held and interrogated for an hour after being on the ground for just over 2 hours he was executed by the taliban.
