Stats Update: This is FFX's 6th track, tying it for third highest Final Fantasy entry on this list (with FF VIII).

FFX is also the newest game behind Lost Odyssey to have 6 or more songs. In fact, No game with 7 or more songs was released after 2000.

@grimmace45 Indeed. No matter how "good" XI was, it would one day be dead, as it is now, totally unplayable, so it no longer exists, really. And besides XII's battle system, the game wasn't very good. Story sucked, characters sucked, lots of sucking all around. And XIII? I haven't played yet, but I HAVEN'T heard good things. And XIV? HA!!! So, indeed, FFX was the last great FF game before it all was flushed down the shitter.

@HeroicPunk Just because XI is unplayable now doesn't mean that it wasn't a good game during its heyday :( I had lots of fun on XI. XII is actually one of my favorites in the series (behind VI, IV, and IX), and XIII wasn't a bad game by any means, it just lacked a lot of elements people had gotten familiar with in the series. When I think about XIII, the game in the series it is most similar to is X. So if you liked X, you should at least give XIII a chance before you judge.

@swoosh870 I didn't imply XI was bad, just that the game shouldn't have been named XI if it was online-only, cuz now it's an empty number in the franchise. I heard it was quite fun, just never had a chance to play. I simply felt XII was lacking in almost every way besides the battles, the roaming, and maybe the graphics. And I will definitely play XIII whenever I can summon (he he he, pun) the cash for a PS3, lol

@HeroicPunk Lets see, XI was good but a MMO so I don't really count it. However XII was terrible MMO style among other problems, XIII I started and quit because I found staring at my wall more fun. And FIV??? Played beta for a month and found it unplayable, not just bad but UNPLAYABLE, so I sold my collector's edition for a $70 after I had it on pre-order for 3 months at $75.

Yet I've only played the first disc of FF8 and watched my bro play 1,2, part of 5, part of 6, part of 7, 8, 1 part of 9,10, and all of 13. 13 Doesn't have that "Final Fantasy" feel to it like all the others do for some reason. Its not a bad game like everyone says though.

This was a discussion point at work today (I work in an electronic's department). We all agree, ff7 requires a complete redo to rerelease, where ff10 won't take nearly as long. While I would like to see a ff7 remake, it would cost a lot and may not sell enough to offset the cost.  As for the remake, hoping they'll add mulitiplayer to blitzball.

Final Fantasy X HD is a game I didn't realize I wanted. Now that it's been announced, I'm very excited for it. I'll get it on the Vita for some awesome portable experience. Mi'ihen Highroad is a quirky track that's full of nostalgia for me.

@Standard420247 Maybe it's just me that thinks this, but it's probably because X is an extremely popular game. Kinda like how OoT was a lot of kid's first Zelda game, X was a lot of kid's first Final Fantasy game. Even though it's been almost 10 years since it was released in NA, most people (Maybe only the kids.) have a PS3 instead of a PS2. Since the PS3 isn't backwards compatible anymore, releasing Final Fantasy X on the PS3 in HD will be a lot easier for people than buying a PS2 and FFX, or
