I didn't think the CLS-12 CV's had it in them. They got the fundamental of the lowest note without bottoming out and had low distortion, even at full power from my 100wpc PA amp. A lot of ported cabinets would have unloaded at that near subsonic frequency. Not real high db here like a high power car system, but the cleanest bass I have heard in a while. Cerwin Vega knows its stuff. Funny, 20 yrs ago, an honest 100w x 2 would have been a high powered system, esp w/CV speakers.

@bommajoe You can get 2" computer speakers to boom quite a bit. I have a 2 1/2" woofer that came with some Altec-Lansings, and they can really thump. only thing wrong right now is this song is a bit too low on the bass scale to get my little woofer rumbling. =(

Means that your over driving them, or the coil is off alignment. If it is only when you really push them, your fine, just don't push them. If it is still warm even at lower levels, then be careful. To much can cause them to burst in flames. Have seen it happen more than once.
