ECW was broke at 2001, heyman barely even paid his wrestlers. Vince actually paid them a big check.

Vince bought ecw at 2001, because it was going out of business. if he didnt buy it, all these wrestlers would be nowhere.

Vince mcmahon made one night stand 2005 for ECW fans, he did a wonderful job aswell.

As someone who was a TNA fan up until 4th Jan, it's clear that Hardcore Justice won't be anywhere near as good as ONS for the following reasons:

1. Tommy Dreamer implicitly admitted on Impact a few weeks ago, ECW wrestlers got their closure at ONS 2005 and put their heart and soul into that - I don't see how they can top it

2. There won't be as many ECW originals at Hardcore Justice

3. It's taking place in the TNA arena, not an ECW arena (unlike ONS) so it won't have many original ECW fans
