I use to work on the Tom Sayer ride which was the rafts that ran below the log flume. It was a bugger to keep running correctly. We had to maintain the ride daily with new chains to couple to the main drive cable in the lake. Also had to resuce people when the power motor packed in. Had to row out to them and bring them back and there could be 16-18 rafts running!! Happy days

you kidding me I hate it when they get rid of the older ones like that one adventure one that takes you through a brief history of everything like ancient egypt, greece and so on. Those are the mosr impressive ones considering how much work and creativity has gone into them and all people want nowadays is ride a big dildo that shoots up up into the sky like useless sperm. The old ones had the charm of Blackpool and theme parks basically.
