I'm canadian myself and I would say your overestimating canadians. Yeah we are good people, but most of us are also uninformed sheep. I bet you less than 10% of canadians know anything about bill c6. @jackson32: In a nutshell: Well there's what we do here on YT, & other social networking sites, informing. One can't underestimate the power of public opinion. I also do it on the street level, coworkers, school, bars, wherever it could be brought up. Some times I'll hand out literature, or just leave it around for ppl to find. I give donations where & when I can. I work hard for my money.

As it comes to me, I also help ppl fight against police abuse & corporate bullying with some very simple advice & guidance which most don't seem to be aware of. I've learned to communicate in a few languages (very simple dialogue) in order to break the ice with some cultures & get into the deeper discussions

Once you give up your rights to bear arms you have already given up the only right you had to protect yourself from tyranny. I believe it constitutes a breach of trust by the members of parliament to pass legislation or offer services that allow them to encroach upon rights they could not other wise breach. In the end it comes down to consent and where the authority to pass statutes into law comes from, they are endowed with power by our consent, when we remove it they lose their power.
