Ya know it's sad but I really loved VH back in the day, I went to like 4 of their tours and could swear they were great and had a good time , but thinking about it I must of been as stoned as they were because I have been surfing u-tube and from videos of way past to present, and they really sound horrible. Dave is way off key and way,way,way off time. They really are one of tose bands that sound good in studio with mixers help, live they really need help, like 2 different bands!!

I was at this concert. Glen Helen regional park, the stadium was built just for this show. Now there is a huge venue there, formerly known as the Blockbuster arena. To be honest Van Halen put on one of the worst shows of the day after making the crowd wait an hour and 45 minutes for them to come out after the Scorpians, who sounded way better and weren't drunk of their asses like DLR. The line up that day included Judas Priest, Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, Triumph and Ozzy.

Micheal Anthony is probably glad he didn't have to deal with the 2 over the top ego's any more. But, as usual in most very good bands, 2 egos that feed off each other, usually kill each other. Eddie's ego got way too huge. Forget his firing of Dave, Sammy, and gary..photoshopping Michael Anthony out of the band because Anthony went on stage with Sammy was just wrong. From what I've gathered...people tolerate Eddie....they don't actually like him.

I think of van halen as a great band, but this performance is TERRIBLE--they're all out of synch, Eddie VH seems to be slurring his way through on the guitar. Judging from David Lee Roth's speech, they're all completely wasted. What a shame.

Sammy Hagar is a great musician, but David Lee Roth really knows how to play to the crowd. I've seen them twice. They're definite crowd pleasers. Ted Nugent is like that too. He really plays the crowd. Awesome stuff.
