You shouldn't take your amster outside period. One wrong move, and your hamster is gone. Also, as mentioned in the video, bugs can seriously hurt your hamster. Bites can be serious, and depending on the bug, fatal.
Don't let your hamster out if the grass has been fertilised within the past few weeks, or if you're unsure, and only take them out late in the afternoon when the sun's lower so it's not too hot for them outside. :-)
plz i need your help i got my 2 hamster age ago and every time i put my hand in they bit my finger and it bleeds. they are all ways fighting and the guy in the shop said they have lived together and like each other ( they are both girls)
@TheGoldenFawn 1-if you want to tame your hamster hold some food through the ars or lid of the cage and feed it / make it come to you keep this exersise going for a few days or untill your hamsters are used to you and they think that whenever you are near you will give em food (you = food). then once your hamsters are used to you start trying to pick them up (using a glove is reccomended) and whenever you pick them out of the cage give them a treat or seed etc then soon enough they will be tame
now this is a helper! omg im gla di watched this video becaue once in a while i usually let my hamster play outside and i watch her like a hawk. And my question is when i let me hamster once in a week let her play outisde in the grass sometime she freezes and breathes fats and im like i think shes scared and i tak eher back in her cage. Do you know why shedoes that?
I commented on one of ur other vids, my friend lost her hamster outside when a stray cat jumped from one of the bushes and killed it. She was watching and scared away the cat but she was too late.
um there r no parks or things like that near me and i can take it out my back yard but theres a decking with holes it can go through and lots of like holes in the fence and ground oh and im not in the us so its like cold all the time how can i play out side with him
@themarioman2121 because birds eat small animals such as hamster and mice and things. iloveyour vids I'm getting a Syrian hamster soon and well i need some advice cos I have never had a hamster b4 :/ do u think u could help ? xx :)
You just shouldn't bring it outside. Its just common sense... Well i just wouldn't i guess your hamsters life is in your hands not mine. YOu have a cool video at the pet store! LOL
@22lilbabe i have a hamster and i take her outside in the summer often and she loves it. It gets some fresh air and she is clamer when you hold her because she burnt energy. You just need to watch it!
Well If your new with hamsters i would get a regular one but if you had like 3 or 4 then maybe a dwarf. Dawfs can be very aggressive and regular are nice and gentle only if you play with it about 3 times a week :]
Ok, well really it depends on the hamster. My first hamster ever was a regular but the next 4 were dwarfs, some are good and some are bad but you cant stereotype a whole group of hamsters so EmilyExcitement101 go to a breeder or petstore and ask to hold every hamster there, find the nicest one and thats what you want, you don't need to choose your type of hamster right away.
Well it's not a stereotype. That is true. More dawfs are more aggressive then regular. It's only because dawfs are newer to the hamster family. As in the are less used to humans because there alittle more wild then regular.
Really, I think I know Dwarfs a little more than you and that is a stereotype, your referring to ALL dwarf hamsters as aggressive. thats like saying all americans are fat and ugly or all canadians are eskimos. all I'm saying is that you are stereotyping them and I would like that you not, it all depends on the specific animal not the breed. i suppose you think all pitbulls are aggressive to( just so you know I'm not stereotyping you-i don't think you would know even if I did)
