  • Dude much respect.

  • For punching with the shield, I can see that being similar to throwing a few jabs to find weak spots in boxing or MMA. I bet even in weapon-based martial arts like kendo, they'll try to find what side is weaker by only blocking or making quick pokes at the opponent.

  • wtf? you jused good old german beer for your tests? dare you =.=(nice work btw.. never seens some informativ vidios like this ones on youtube)

  • Hey Thrand, is there anyway to get just the stuff on the short sword?

  • @jonathansicari will see what I can do

  • I couldn't really hear you over the wind. How was Japanese mail different from European or Arabian mail?

  • @EhSteve8690 They had riveted mail and key ring type rings with more than one turn to secure mail if used stand alone that's right some Samurai early period used Kusari Chain armor. They also used Butted mail although it was not used in European history at all But they would use really haevy rings as joining points and lighter steel or iron plates to be the filler to make it light enough to wear. They also so had many more weaves of chain as well wiki chain armor and Japanese to see examples.
