  • i do enjoy completely unplugging and being away from the interwebs for a period of time. I took a vacation a few years ago and my laptop had no reception in the mountains. THANK GOD!! I would have not remembered the wonderful things that we did as fondly if i tweeted/blogged about them.

  • Ha! Thanks for mentioning me. I had kind of been thinking about talking about this topic (and my related topic about the increasing impersonalness) but was going to back off when I saw you had posted on this topic. But no! You gave me an in! Woot!

  • That's why I don't join communities. It's too time consuming.

But LJ has its benefits. I found my outlet there that's more healthy than punching people in.

But, I do agree with you. Sometimes the amount of time spend on the internet can be scary, but moderating is the key.

  • Okay, I guess I should comment to this on your Livejournal.

But I can tell you right away, I am important. You need to keep me around.

  • You are important. *hugs*

  • I am! KL better remember that when she trims her various friends/reading/subscription lists!

    *hugs you right back*

  • I want one central site from which I can control all of my accounts for things. It's just too difficult to keep up with them. But I couldn't go without the internet - I always feel cut off from the world when I'm without it. Like I'm out of the loop or something.

So I guess I'm anti a no-internet holiday... even though it would probably be beneficial. If it were only for a couple of days or something.
