I just recently bought and beat this game on my Xbox 360 (had to update the Xbox, lol). The game was great and the monsters kicked ass. It was pretty creepy at first, but I got used to it. The cinematic monster introductions were really well done and the Hell Knights specifically (especially in this fight) put up a good fight for anyone who isn't prepared. Also, that Korn track really meshed well with the fight and gave it a more "kick-assery" tone to it.

Yes. Doom3 is very dark indeed. I have it on dvd. But headphones work actually like wallhack or something, it's not that hard to know the enemy's position when it's making so much noice, no matter is it dark or not. And there are plenty of flashlight mods.
