  • Lenny won the audience from the beginning with "The Tuning Song". He theatrically used the piece to flex his fingers, tune his guitar and show his delightful sense of humor. I once saw him do it. TD Bank Tower? 1969?

  • Thanks so much for posting this! Can we get the whole thing?- I'd love to watch it all and share the great Lenny Breau with my students as well

  • Yes. I think Jewel did it. Hope she gets stabbed in the back.

  • It was 1976. Lenny Breau trio live at The Cellar Door, in POH-DUNK Auburn, Maine. Mesmerized!!!:0

  • I met a woman in Stockton, CA on 8/15/87 at a gig I was playing at the county fair. She asked if I'd heard of Lenny Breau. I asked "How do you know who he is?" She claimed to be Lenny's widow & said her name was "Jewel". I thought she was making it up, but came back the next night with photos and tapes that we listened to in my car. She said her stage name was "Joanna Glasscock" & that she met Lenny in Nasvhille through Chet Atkins. I remember the date because my 1st child was born the next day

  • That info matches up with the information in "One Long Tune", a great biography about a great guitarist. Whether or not it was her - who knows - but she was the chief suspect in Lenny's murder, which remains unsolved to this day.

  • Saw Lenny once with Brad Terry- Lenny on YouTube is a blessing from heaven

  • aw man, saddens the hell outta me.
