I was very lucky to be at that fantastic concert. It was my third Elton concert at the time (after seeing him at the Hollywood Bowl and The Forum), and I've lost count how many times I've seen him since. What great memories. That's what inspired me to become "Elton Frank". Check out my YouTube Channel! Elton was and always will be the greatest.
This was when he had jettisoned Nigel Olsson and Dee Murray, leaving only Davey Johnstone from the original band, bringing in bassist Kenny Passarelli from Joe Walsh's band(As Walsh was soon to join up with The Eagles at that time-late 1975), Roger Pope as Nigel's replacement, and Adding second guitarist/longtime Elton associate Caleb Quaye, and a second Keyboardist/future movie/film score composer, James Newton Howard...The band he would use on Rock Of The Westies and Blue Moves.

billy joel is a much better concert performer then fat elton...i have seen them together a number of times and billy always mops the floor with elton....sorry
I just completed army basic training at Fort Ord and was on leave for the weekend. I was 18 and my friend got the tickets and we had a great time at this concert. Long hair was in style and I felt like I was the only one with a shaved head in the crowd on the field.
No needs to link that peice of shit with the master Elton and the guys...the church that Obama went/GOES too is so anti-white I can't beleive that no one has stood up and called it for what it is....McCain is a pussy and is kissing that black fuckers ass while this country goes to the crapper....but Elton is still king after all these years!!!
CHILDREN at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago ( including Obama's) are taught to sing THIS song and to listen Wright's HATE AMERICA Sermons,
TWENTY YEARS FOR OBAMA. WAKE UP !!
They are taught to BE AFRICAN SUPREMACISTS! Unbelievable but TRUE! See and listen !

lol...i was there too. i was just 13 and we were dancing behind that scaffolding in the center of the field. i went on saturday, it was october 25th 1975! and i believe saturday nights alright for fighting lasted over 20 mins. and yeah, emmy lou harris and joe walsh opened for him. i still have the 'five years of fun' book that was sold there
I was there also...don't remember the opening act ( I was to stoned) best concert I have ever been too...I have seen Elton 10+ times after that great night and still he is the KING!!!!
I was there. Right in front of the stage. It was so crowded I couldn't even scratch my nose. I believe Emily Lou Harris and Joe Walsh played during the day. I was only 18 at the time. I thought his backup singers looked like they were wearing the Texaco suits you used to see at the gas stations.
I was at the same concert. Sat in right centerfield. Joe Walsh did open for him. I also remember some other guy playing before Walsh, but no recall of name.
I was there!!!! Talk about a small world. I now live in Texas. I was talking to a guy that works in our office -- we were talking about how great Elton is/was. Then we discovered that we were both at this concert!!
From what I understand there's a lot of problem with the film footage being incomplete and so on, though I have such a hard time believing NO ONE got a complete film recording of this show. It was historic at the time (the first rock act to play Dodger Stadium since the Beatles) and he was HUGE - as big as the Beatles, relatively speaking - at this point in his career in 1975. Still, we are still waiting for it...30 years later!!!
Even if they released an "incomplete" concert or at least put out the TV documentary this clip is from on DVD that would be nice...we're waiting...still waiting...probably for the rest of our lives...
Elton and The Eagles were the biggest live attractions at this time - you had to stand in line for tickets and the shows sold out within 15-20 minutes
i was at this concert!!!!!!!
