    \

  • AT THIS CONCERT ...ELTON THREW THIS DODGER HAT INTO THE CROWD...I HAD IT WITHIN REACH BUT A BIG TALL HIPPIE DUDE STEPPED IN AND GRABBED IT

  • I was there it was so much more then the videos can show it was 2 1/2 hours of magic. I have yet to see another like it.

  • i didnt know there is a change in lyrics,,,,,,,,,

"it will take u a cup of vodka and tonics"..

  • I was very lucky to be at that fantastic concert. It was my third Elton concert at the time (after seeing him at the Hollywood Bowl and The Forum), and I've lost count how many times I've seen him since. What great memories. That's what inspired me to become "Elton Frank". Check out my YouTube Channel! Elton was and always will be the greatest.

    ~ "Elton Frank"

  • @fpearl I've seen him @ 6 times all in California; too young to get to this one so only once in Hollywood (at Palladium)

I did see him at Inglewood forum but haven't found vid from that (at least not by searching city) Thanks for posting!

  • Fucking great show!

  • This was when he had jettisoned Nigel Olsson and Dee Murray, leaving only Davey Johnstone from the original band, bringing in bassist Kenny Passarelli from Joe Walsh's band(As Walsh was soon to join up with The Eagles at that time-late 1975), Roger Pope as Nigel's replacement, and Adding second guitarist/longtime Elton associate Caleb Quaye, and a second Keyboardist/future movie/film score composer, James Newton Howard...The band he would use on Rock Of The Westies and Blue Moves.

  • Here he is at the top and he tried to kill himself about this time

  • and then rainbows and unicorns will appear and you will shit happiness but only if you copy and paste the message below and follow instuctions to the tee...I fuckin hate chain letters

  • omfg those high notes! lol he sure can hit those high notes

  • Whoa! Flashback!

  • I saw the same concerts, and found the opposite, with Billy really down on the floor. Sorry.

  • I love that imroved line!

  • Where can I get audio from these 1975 LA concerts?

  • Being a massive Dodger Fan, I'll never forget the hat, uniform, and of coarse the glasses

  • Wow this is amazing

  • why are the back-up singers all dressed like Keith Moon?

  • This is really cool. I was at this concert with my girlfriend. Ron Stewart

  • why is your girlfriend named ron stewart?!?

  • I just completed army basic training at Fort Ord and was on leave for the weekend. I was 18 and my friend got the tickets and we had a great time at this concert. Long hair was in style and I felt like I was the only one with a shaved head in the crowd on the field.

  • What the heck are you talking about?? How would you know anyways?! I will be sooo happy when this election will be over!

Elton rocks! If you haven't been to a concert of his, you must go!

  • lol...i was there too. i was just 13 and we were dancing behind that scaffolding in the center of the field. i went on saturday, it was october 25th 1975! and i believe saturday nights alright for fighting lasted over 20 mins. and yeah, emmy lou harris and joe walsh opened for him. i still have the 'five years of fun' book that was sold there

  • Oh my god I am extremely jealous! I'm only 16, never grew up with the good Elton John stuff like I wish I had.

  • I was there also...don't remember the opening act ( I was to stoned) best concert I have ever been too...I have seen Elton 10+ times after that great night and still he is the KING!!!!

  • LOL.

I still have the white with blue trim size medium Rock of the Westies tour t-shirt.

It fits a little tighter today.

  • This was supposedly the lowest point in his life, with drugs and everything else.

  • it was his peak... what do you mean!

  • It was his peak as far as hits and success, but he attepmted suicide during this time of his career, right around the Dodger Stadium tour.

  • yeah and tickets cost 8 to 15 bucks....greed prevailes now

  • I was there. Right in front of the stage. It was so crowded I couldn't even scratch my nose. I believe Emily Lou Harris and Joe Walsh played during the day. I was only 18 at the time. I thought his backup singers looked like they were wearing the Texaco suits you used to see at the gas stations.

  • lol. thats so awesome u were there!

    i wasn't bored for another 14 yrs. :0

but i can't wait to see him live!!!! omg i cant wait

  • I was at the same concert. Sat in right centerfield. Joe Walsh did open for him. I also remember some other guy playing before Walsh, but no recall of name.

  • I was there!!!! Talk about a small world. I now live in Texas. I was talking to a guy that works in our office -- we were talking about how great Elton is/was. Then we discovered that we were both at this concert!!

  • From what I understand there's a lot of problem with the film footage being incomplete and so on, though I have such a hard time believing NO ONE got a complete film recording of this show. It was historic at the time (the first rock act to play Dodger Stadium since the Beatles) and he was HUGE - as big as the Beatles, relatively speaking - at this point in his career in 1975. Still, we are still waiting for it...30 years later!!!

  • Even if they released an "incomplete" concert or at least put out the TV documentary this clip is from on DVD that would be nice...we're waiting...still waiting...probably for the rest of our lives...

  • love the back-up singers wearing the Keith Moon Esso jumpsuits

  • I don't think it's available on DVD ...yet

  • elton #1 !

  • tequila sunrises haha

  • Elton and The Eagles were the biggest live attractions at this time - you had to stand in line for tickets and the shows sold out within 15-20 minutes

  • I Was there

  • Wow this is amazing,

the famous Dodgers concert in video.... wow...

  • Jonas

Please post more from the 1975 Dodger Stadium Shows.

P.S. Check Out Bernie at the very end of this clip he looks Fantastic!!! ;P
