  • Man, I haven't seen John Dybvig in AGES!

  • The hongi is not a regular thing, thats just what the maori people do during special celebrations. oh also if u said u were 'rooting' for a particular team, we would know what u meant, that u were supporting your team, but it also means having sex

  • The hongi is not a regular thing, thats just what the maori people do during special celebrations.

  • LOL, good effort! I really did "LOL" at the rooting part hahaha.......

  • You didn't show the ice cream vendors and open cast mines National Ltd™ is planning for the scenery. Also, the water down the plug hole is an urban myth - Google is your friend.

  • What a great opportunity for social media. Ask the USA whether you should come to NZ Letterman!

  • This video is gold.

  • Good work John, ka pai to mahi!

  • Well done,

  • Aloha John,

    ...Or should I say...Kia Ora Bro!

    Hey, very funny stuff! I can really relate.

    It was nice talking to ya again, thanks again for passing on my details. Will keep you posted.

    Can't wait for your next video. Keep 'em coming & let me know if I can add any "American in New Zealand' tips. I am sure Mike come up with some "beauties...mate"!

    "Cheers" :-)

    Linda

  • Hiya John,

    Here's what I posted on Letterman's website, and I LOVE the red white and blue boxers:

    Hey Dave, Seeing that you are having New Zealand's Prime Minister as a guest in the near future, why not feature John Dybvig's video inviting YOU to get your arse Downunder, and out of your Big Apple comfort zone for a change of scene. Summer's coming on here, and it's lookin' like a good'un. Could you also please ask John Key when we're getting the broadband they promised? Harmony in New Zealand.

  • John,

    Boy have you changed;those golden locks have disappeared.Your sense of humor is still with you.

    New Zealand is very beautiful. How expensive is it to live there and how hard is it to gain residency there?

    CHS still rules!

  • Good one John! Jordon told me you were doing parts in films and such .Good for you .Rocco sent me this video Pretty good NEW ZEALAND looks beautiful. You look like your enjoying life .God Bless you . Chris (ANIMAL ) Vicari

  • Hi John,

    Loved your clip! Very funny.. Would like to see a follow-up sometime...

  • Having been to NZ, and a comedian, I'm not that impressed by things like "driving on the left."

    Here's what i would have included:

    * Zorbing.

    * The Statue of Riff Raff in the middle of Town Square in Hamilton.

    * The McGillicuddies.

    * Nandor Tanczos.

    * A kiwi can mean: A bird, a fruit, a person, or a dollar. This obviously means that New Zealand is willing to sell slaves for their currency, the "birdfruit."

    * The Haka, and how amusing it is to see people who aren't good at it perform it.

  • Nandor's fallen off the radar since he retired.

  • Is having beetroot in burgers and sandwiches really not something done in the states?

    But its so yummy!

  • John, this is so funny, good on you.

    S.H

  • New Zealand is awesome!

    Great video!!

    From Spain!

  • Well done, that was very funny! Like listening to you on Radio Live as well, you should get more segments. Though you were heard lurking in the background on Radio Sport one Friday afternoon at the pub. Or was that just to get free beers off Miles?

    Though, do we really need any more loud and obnoxious yanks in New Zealand? Don't we have our quota of one all ready? (no offence).

    You should do some more video's.

  • OK, now I want to visit NZ! I'll tweet your video for you and see if we can get it to Dave that way.

  • actually not too bad mate, hope he watches it or at least plays it on the show~! he love NZ

  • yeah, it's pretty cool, I never knew about the light switches lol

    couple of things about the hongi though...it's a traditional maori thing, not everyone here does it (not sure if he was begin deliberately tongue in cheek about that though) and it's not rubbing noses, it's a press...rubbing noses is bad...

  • Funny. Could have mentioned that the kiwi burgers doesn't have kiwifruit or the endangered bird in it.
