  • That's almost certain antilag but one of the most mild setups for a larger dump of fuel than i think i've ever seen. Normally mild antilag is just alot of pops with hardly any fuel being cycled through.

  • No dump valve is fitted, it was the Grp A turbo making that noise

  • Thanks, at the time of the video, it was 403 bhp. Now its around 450-460bhp.

  • anti lag basically uses a small combuster near the turbor, it uses a small amount of fuel to ignite in the turbo, causing it to spin up, even when the exhaust gasses are not at high flow rates...but with this you get really bad fuel ecc, and huge trails of very hoy exhaust gass about 5m behind the car...not sure mr motorbike man would like that but it makes an awesome noise when you lift off...BANG!!

  • After 35 seconds in the clip you will here the banging, it wasnt the rev limiter as that is set at 8000rpm. The anti lag was only a mild system, its not had any throttle body mods done to it. The flames are from the anto lag, it makes more of a noise when you rev it up and let the revs drop.

  • Basically yes, depending on what type of anti lag you have, it gives you a few lb's of boost on tickover. So the turbo is spinning when you pull away, makes it more responsive. I love my n/a too, wish i could afford to have two cars, one n/a and one turbo. You cant beat a turbo for all round fun, most n/a engines run out of puff around 110mph with short gearing, turbo'd ones will carry on going to 160mph with the right gearing.
