  • Jesper is fantastic as Death! :D

(Even though I prefer him as Rudolf and Uwe as Death xP)

  • Love Michael saw him as Raoul a few years ago on Broadway and met him! Very nice

  • jap.

  • Jesper is awesome, I heard that he also played in the Swedish Production?

  • jesper were my neighbor when he lived in sweden for like 15 years ago ^_^ i were best friend with hes little brother jonas!!

  • Wow! That's fascinating! Did he sing at home?^^

  • jesper is so great! I would love to see his performance of " die schatten werden länger" in the first act, you don´t have this video, have you?

    thanks for uploading this one!

  • In my opinion the Hungarian singer is better, but I like this performance too :)

  • His look around 4:18 is practically orgasmic.

    ...Correction, it *is* orgasmic.

  • Jesper's put something else into der Tod...He's not that forceful, but more creepy...cold in some way.

  • I think putting der Tod as creepy and cold is good. He is death, people need to fear him. Jesper in my opinion is good as Tod.

  • oooh, I like him! I think he's good and creepy, he's more reserved than the others I've seen play Death, and I think it's appropriate. The one guy, from the DVD, he goes crazy! Sometimes I think he's good, and sometimes I have trouble taking him seriously. ~_^

  • Very fitting indeed! :)

Der Tod in the DVD - you mean Mate?

  • Yep, I definitely mean Mate. He has no pride. He thrusts his pelvis too much. And Uwe has the dignity, but sometimes I feel like his reserve is more a lack of acting. I don't find that with Jesper. Jesper doesn't get enough credit, imo!

  • I rather like Uwe's Tod, but I can't seem to imagine him playing anyone else. I think his voice is more suited to pop music. And I haven't seen much of Mate as Tod, but... really?

    And ditto about Jesper!

  • I actually love Mate - he is a wild, unpredictable Death who can also be very gentle. He kind of represents all the things a person can feel towards real death at different emotional stages, if that makes sense. ;) In the end I have to say he is my favorite but I also adore Jesper and Uwe, of course, too. They all play Death in different ways and have gorgeous voices to boot.

  • Jesper is a wonder. His singing is perfect and his acting is so good that for all of his good looks he is a frightening yet irresistble Death. I wish I had seen him on stage as Death and not just as Rudolf.

  • He's a bit too rough on Elisabeth, but really, I wouldn't mind playing the woman when you have THAT sort of actor for Der Tod. ;)

    Thank you for this!

  • He's quite a creepy death. SEXY, but creepy!

  • Heh, it feels so weird seeing Jesper playing Death O_o... He just looks too NICE. But thanks for posting this! I heard of Jesper playing der Tod, and always wondered how that would work :)
