  • This clip was on 30 for 30... I just saw it and was like "Hey, I've seen this exact video before!"

  • As a Marlin's fan I was watching it and was like "oh god this guy will be in deep shit if this keeps going." Sure enough it was replay after replay of this poor guy. I woulda gone for the ball also Fish fan or not.

  • as they're playing dave matthews in the background

  • you were on espn

  • CHICAGO- HUMAN EVOLUTION STUCK IN REVERSE.

  • what song is playing in the background?

  • The money he paid for those seats I would have been the one screaming at Moises alou for fuckin up my souvenir !!

Leave the man alone. I'm sure he is living his life fine

  • @Thebarberboss LOL.. yeah Im sure he is too (well I hope he is).. I read that he's turned down several lucrative endorsement deals and offers since then.. One of the offers was worth six figures to be in a Super Bowl commercial..

  • he didtn reach over it was coming to him and every fan has 2 reactions to this grba that bitch or move away steve grabbed not hsi faulyt the pitched dosent know how to throw in the clutch or alou should of said i got it or get there faster or sense it woudl fo been a foul as we cna see here let it go dont be a hero and sub your crappy pitcher case closed cubs will never get that chance again

  • FOOTBALL

  • @xXbubbles71Xx you are so gay

  • i feel terrible for the guy just thought he was gonna see a cubs game and leaves as the most hated man in chicago its so sad i feel for the guy.

  • he didn't reach over. there was no way Alou could catch it. he just wanted to make it look like it wasn't his fault. and whats so hard about getting another out? Cubs just suck

  • Get a life

  • I ain't gonna lie I would've reached for that ball too.

  • no lie, that was a damn good seat with a good view

  • He didn't reach over. If he would have it would have been fan interference. The ball was out of play.

  • what if in 113 years (now 104) the cubs win the W.S.? that would be SOOOOOOOO aquaria

  • Didn't Ferris Bueller, Cameron and Sloan sit there?

  • Good song in the background. Haha

  • people need to not only forgive bartman, but need to grow up and realize that baseball and all other sports are just games and stop trying to make a war over "my team this" and "my team that"...just goes to show how much society loves hatred

  • I'm just amazed that he was able to stay awake

  • what a seat, bet you could catch lots of balls from there!

  • except he didnt lean over. the ball was in the stands when he hit it

  • hahaha the cubs fucking blow....shitty fans and teams will blame any fucking thing for them not winning a championship

  • If Alou wouldn't have raised such a hissy fit, maybe Prior wouldn't have gotten so rattled. Then again, if Dusty hadn't been asleep in the dugout, perhaps he would have noticed Prior was dying out there. Bartman was just a fan going for a foul ball. How was he supposed to guage the outcome? He had his eye on the ball, not where Alou was.

  • dont think its fair to blame him, look at all the other hands reaching for that ball. in thats case it could have been anybody

  • The biggest thing Cub fans don't remember is that Kyle Farnsworth could have done his job and NOT let the Marlins score any more runs. The worst it should have been was Marlins 4, Cubs 3 with the Cubs batting in the bottom half of the eighth

  • Steve Bartman didnt give up 8 runs that inning. Steave Barman did screw up that could have been double play. It wasnt Steves fault.

  • @IIIIIIBradfordIIIIII - exactly, immediately after the Bartman grab, the Cubs shortstop screwed up a double play that would've ended the inning. People seem to forget this.

  • @thx291 Its the Chicago Cubs fans way. Blame everyone for the Cubs century long failure instead of the Chicago Cubs themselves. First its the "Curse of the Billy Goat", then its this. Dear Cubs fans that think it was Bartmans fault: The Cubs gave up EIGHT runs that inning.

  • People cant just assume that if he never "reached" out for the ball the cubs would win the series and win the world series

  • seat 113 haunted forever wow

  • Go stand at shortstop and give us the view Alex Gonzalez had when he booted that double-play ball....Steve Bartman was irrelevant to the outcome. The Cubs just got a big chicken bone stuck in the wind pipe and CHOKED as usual.

  • @northernflicker - You're exactly right.

  • For a while, I believed a rumor that they got rid of the seat, or painted it red and stopped letting people sit there haha

  • im srry but how did bartman be famous??

  • @mattrules924 it was game 6 of the 2003 nlcs the cubs had a 3 games to 1 lead over the marlins the cubs were 5 outs away from going to the world series in 95 years the batter luis castillo hits a foul ball down the left field line a fan wich is (steve bartman) reaches out tries to get the ball moises alou almost catches it but bartman interfeares after that castillo got a hit and someone else got a double a triple and all of a sudden marlins won the game the series and the world series

  • @f22cool wow that must suck for cubs fans

  • @mattrules924 not for me GO MARLINS

  • lets go marlins!!!

  • @brockleeandmoo 2 world series yet the lowest attendance in MLB...sad.

  • yup ground zero!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahaha bartmans probably a white sox assassin. listen to the go blame it on steve bartman song. its soooooo funny.

  • He did not reach over the ball was in the stands.

  • ground zero for the cubs lmfao

  • @dudewattf hahahahaha!! thats a good one man!

  • yah i went to a few games by that spot and one game it was pretty open over there so i went over and sat in his seat. i could defff agree you have to actually sit there to truly understand how easy it was bartman to reach for the ball, and i can honestly say i dont know how anyone could tell there was a player right under the wall. (unless you where paying attention and saw MA coming over lol)

  • seriously, we would have lost anyways, stop hating on steve bartman, i bet every one of you haters would have done the same as him if you were in his seat at the time

  • Thank You I totally agree

  • Moises Alou over reacted. He did not have a chance to catch the foul ball. Alou being a former member of the Marlins he was on the Marlins when they won the world series in 1997.

  • @4ulefties you need to look at it again. the ball was heading straight for his glove and I bet he would have caught it.

  • Actually he did but if he had the heart he would have snagged the ball like it was gold.

  • Im Not A Sports Fan But In My Opinion It Shouldnt Have Counted Anyays Because He Idnt A Member Of The Fucking Cubs. Jesus Christ He Wasnt Even In The Game What Moron Counted That As Fair Play?

Hes The One Everyone Should Be Mad At....

    Who Agrees?

  • Why don't the cubs just color code seats where it would most likely be interference to catch a foul ball?

  • It wasnt even just Bartman.. look at the replays.. everyone sitting in that area reached out. When it comes to foul balls, the fans have as much right to reach for it as the players do. Bartman is not at fault here. Plus, he saved the Cubs the embarrassment of getting swept in the World Series

  • i think if the ball is on the fan`s side of the railing, then anyone can reach for it but if it is on the player`s side of the fence, it is considering fan interference if a fan reaches for the ball. I am not defending any side, i am just saying what i heard.

  • Your absolutely right.

  • @Fox946 wrong. fans have no right to reach onto the field of play which is what Fartman did.

  • @wfo76 No he didn't. His reach was not in the field of play. Watch it. If he did, it would have been called fan interference.

  • @Fox946 I agree, it's not Bartman's fault. Although not everyone reaches for the ball. The guy right next to Bartman, wearing his cap backwards, does make an effort to get out of the way. The guy 2 seats down however, reaches for the ball even more than Bartman did. No one blames him.

  • @Fox946 i love steve....could be that im from miami and they ended up wining that year

  • @Fox946 true, as a Sox fan, if florida was the better team, then I wouldn't change a thing. Say Bartman didn't interfare, and the cubs won that game, but they were proven weeker then the Yankees and won that world series, sorry cub fans, but I think he did the sox a favor. Any year the Yankees don't go all the way is a good year, well any year the sox do it, its been a great year.

  • C-ompletely U-seless B-y S-eptember !!!

  • NICE!

  • He didn't reach over. Alou reached INTO the stands, so the ball was up for grabs. It wasn't fan interference.

  • @throttleabc no, the rule states if you have to give the player a chance to get the ball and if you interfere its fan interferance cubs suck

  • cubs suck. Cardinals don't

  • well the cubs are in 1st place

  • The Umps also didn't make the call.

  • they only call fan interference on home runs, Im sure there were some people telling him not to reach but his dumbass had to listen to the cubs on radio

  • Thats not true. What happens when a ball is rolled down the line fair and a fan reaches over and touches the ball? It is a ground rule double when there could've been a single or a triple. And yes Bartman is a dumbass

  • Cubs fans need to shut the hell up. Your shortstop messed up on a DP ball that could have gotten them out of the inning. You cubs always have excuses. GO MARLINS

  • f.u.c.k. bartman

  • @trentguard24 grow up!

  • This topic came up on Father's Day and I came across your video while researching the Bartman foul ball!

    Great Video!

  • It's just a chair.

  • the cubbies didnt lose cuz of a fan.. they lost cuz they suck shit

  • they dont suck they always have a certain player that screws up badly in important games

  • Which means they suck.

  • he should of looked and see if alou was coming

  • you would have done the same thing

  • true, alou was dumbass though frist he said that he had a play on the ball an later he said that he didnt

  • I sat in the same row but at seat 111 and if he could of easily reached out and get the ball then alou could of made the play

  • maybe steve had never gotten a ball before...i have many times in 2 years

  • Blame it on the kid. Blame it on the seat. Blame it on the goat. Yet don't blame it on the team.

  • Dude, everybody knows they're a joke. It's sad. The guy was wearing a cubs hat too. You're right. Blame this guy who tried to catch a foul ball. Don't blame the cubs who lost the next game. This is pathetic.

  • people that blame it on bartman are ignorant

  • Go SOX!!!!!!!!

  • wow, 113...another unlucky thing! ahhhh!!! XD

The Rays have a better chance of becoming WS Champs before the Cubs....

    GO CARDINALS!

  • GO CARDS

  • Since when is "113" unlucky?

  • Since the cubbies "lost" due to a dumbass fan LOL

  • @ironman711 FUCK YEA!!! SEAT 113 ISLE 4 ROW 8. So 13 is an unlucky number, 8+4+1 = 13 HAHAHAHA

  • @ironman711 and we will win it before the cubs.

  • lol lol lol lol lol @ Cubs!

  • dude who fucking cares where steve bartman sat u piece of shit no-lifer!!!!! cubs suck anyway and hav sucked for...hmmm...lets count...about...

    101 FUCKING YEARS BITCH!!!!!!!

    SCREW CUBS!!!!

    GO SOX!!!!!

  • No good dirty rotten filthy Cub fans - Go Pirates!

  • pirates suck and are not going to win for a long time

  • If there was a hard salary cap like hockey and football, the Pirates would be champions again - SALARY CAP!!!! CUBS SUCK!

  • seat #113 forever!

    GO DODGERS!!

  • sorry not this year wait til next year GO CUBBIES

ps. i was at the nlds game 3 i was pissed when they lossed
