the back foot should come up. the old crush the bug, promotes early hip spin and loss of power over the shoulder. Bat lag is how you hit a softball. Softball are heavy and bat is light, baseball heavy bat and light ball. He is just showing the hand and arm location not toe touch or heal plant.

looks like ur picking ur back foot up too high in first frame -losing power- ur basically swinging with just ur arms and ur dragging ur bat.
