In my humble opinion, MJ was doing the very same dance moves since he was 21 yrs old, and singing the exact same way on almost ALL his songs (ie: "he he he" ,"Shumo" ...) and many of the songs he sung (other than Off the Wall and Thriller) were actually written or co-written by other ppl (like Floetry, Sieta Garrett and others). Yea, for some reason the audience was quiet. They were for other performances as well. Just watch Lady Gaga's performances they weren't even looking at her. Janet's audience actually seems more interested then the other artist's audience.
