Ill tell you all right now,I took accutane for a year and seemed to worsen my stomach pains, i started taking amitriptyline and i really have been feeling better with the pain, just a sharp pain that puts you to the floor with and nausea with feelings of ibs.

I rarely get it on the meds but without it i feel sick and have frequent bathroom occurrences.

Well I can't poo as it is lol I take this for depression and for insomnia not sure if I feel any of the antidepressant effect but it's great for sleep

My neurologist gave it me too for daily severe headaches.... And a few other things.... It's kind of like a cure-all because o all the things it helps with. It depends on the person and how sensitive you are to it. Some people become zombies.... Others like me finally get sweet relief and can face the day without pain, get a full nights sleep and actually feel rested.

My son's neurologist wants to immediately put him on elavil for chronic daily headache. He's a young teen and I read that these drugs can cause suicide and depression. Well, he's already feeling "doen" becasue he can't go to school or play in his sports, and to put him on these drugs without blood test,ie., serotonis levels, etc, is just crazy. I am going to look at alternatives for now.
