@ C4ME1VSM4R1BORO Yes of course you can use Propane on quality ABS plastic like TM's but not on other cheap knock off's of top quality Airsoft gun brands. And I also use both Propane and Green Gas and I use one or the other for different days of gaming due to size of field, environment or weather. And @ Ipesce5440 every gun will eventually fail its just life but players can use what gas they want but no gas is better than the other its just the players preference.
@Ipesce5440 i know and I also have two mags aswell and i fire off rounds 1 after the other and If lasts a whole mag! and still fires at 320fps and yes I know if also depends on how fast you fire rounds but anyway it varys with each gun and its user.
This can easily fire a whole mag but it can vary due to the temperature its being used at because I have used mine at about 15*c and it emptyed a full mag with gas still left over but I have used it at about 20*c and it fires all except for 3bb's. And I used mine in a game the other day and it tested the fps of it and it is firing at 320fps on Green Gas.
@v8R580Scania It also depends how fast you are shooting and how many shots in a row. As the mag cools down due to the pressure release, it looses the power to "push". Double taps then wait for about 10 sec, can give you all BBs in the mag most of the time. That's why you have multiple mags with you (I have two extras). I play in the 60-90s*F temperature range.
I know GBB's all struggle more in the winter,,, But can it still kick out a full mag from one fill of gas etc? Does the slide still lock back etc etc (I only load 3/4 of the mag usually in 1911's,, especially in the cold)
@C4ME1VSM4R1B0R0 , Being TM plastic, I would not use propane, but I am sure there will be many replying " Of course you can". Well maybe for a bit but eventually it will fail.
@lpesce5440 hey i have 1 of these and i run it on propane, do you mean by it being plastic as just the slide because mine is all metal apart from the slide, btw 'of course you can.'
@lpesce5440 hey, i have one of these and i run it on propane. it works perfectly well but i dont understand what you mean by tm plastic as mine is fully metal apart from a bit of the slide
hy my when I fill my meu 1911 with gas i can only shoot one shot because there is no gas left anymore.... could please somebody help me resolve this problem
@lgllgllgl hey, i think i know why. this hurdle occured with me aswell as this was my first gas blowback. if you run it on propane(like me) than you must fill the hole closest to the rounded edge on the bottom with it until you hear a click or it just spirts straight out. once at full capacity of gas it can easily empty out a 28/29 round mag and more. happy to help

Hey, nice video. I was wondering if you have had any trigger problems. I bought the MEU here in Japan. Something is wrong with it though. I have to pull the trigger twice for it to shoot. It makes a unusual clicking sound on the first one. If you have any idea what is wrong please let me know. thanks
@KOOLhandLUKE92 I just bought this pistol in Kyoto two days ago (May 9, 2010), and I am having the same problem, but I noticed when I immediately released the trigger for the next shot instead of holding it down (= proper follow-through if it were the real deal) it fired just fine. In other words, use what is poor technique on a real gun, and it seems to fix the problem... ??
@KOOLhandLUKE92 There is a piece inside the frame called a "Disconnecter" On some MEUs it gets stuck in a certain position that disconnects the trigger from the hammer... Pulling the trigger the first time resets the disconnecter and then allows you to shoot on the next trigger-pull.
If your gun is still under warranty, send it back and ask for a replacement... The only way to solve the issue is to completely strip out the frame of the pistol and replace the disconnecter...
hi, i have a question, could one fit aftermarket 1911A1 parts in the 1911 MEU? 'cause i recently bought a MEU(but is not yet in my possesion) and i'm thinking of upgrading it a bit. also, how does one adjust the hop up on the MEU?
On your previous post you said about fitting a nova metal kit. Just want to ask how do you find the metal kit? I was told that paint comes off easy with the metal slide. Is there any downside on fitting a metal kit. Im looking on getting a Kimber kit for my meu. Thanks!
Yes, but only if you allow for the cool-down of the magazine. If you shoot too many BBs one after the other without pausing (1-2 sec should be sufficient), then you will come close to a full mag.
Best way would be with 2 mags, you shoot half of #1, then change, shoot half of #2, then change, then shoot the rest of #1, then change and shoot the rest of #2. If you keep the mags close to your body, the gas will have time to heat up again a little for the second half.
Okay guys i really need some help and opinions on this one.
I have the chance to order 1 airsoft pistol, only 1 due to the fact that i am on holiday in spain where it is legal to order airsoft guns and i can let it delivered to my uncle's house there. So the question is: Should i get the FN Five-seveN, or the M.E.U 1911, ( in the case of teh 1911, then the Tokyo Marui or the Socom Gear one.
I must say i like the FN 57 by it looks, but a 1911 looks more realistic and is more porefull...
TM for sure. Remember that the FN5-7 was just released, and I would expect the mod manufacturers to come out with metal kits. I just saw NineBall announced a new inner barrel for the 5-7, and I am sure more mods will be coming for this pistol. I tested both (stock) and found them to be extremely accurate.
I have not seen the Socom Gear one, so I cannot comment which one is better. From just looking at the pictures from AirsoftGI, they seem to be about the same in looks. Of course the SG is all metal compared to TM which is all plastic. Plus the SG does come with a lot of stuff. But .....
I have also come to appreciate the shooting accuracy of TM. I have a Glock17 and this one, and I must say they are far better than all of my KWAs.
Just wanted to say thanks for the great video. I shoot real 1911s for sport, but was in great need of a replica for mass practice due to rising ammo prices. Your video helped me understand what to expect, as airsoft in general is totally unknown to me. It's pleasing to find out, this gun will offer the best alternative to the real deal, while not having to worry about over penetration of a target when using a .22lr conversion kit on my 1911s.
There are also internal metal parts like weights, gas delivery system, spring, spring pin, inner barrel, parts of the hopup. There could be a few others, but these are all I can see that are metal.
My plan is to replace the slide and frame with the NOVA metal slide/frame.
I should have checked, as the 1911 and M1911A1 are different beasts.
Actually the TM M1911A1 mag holds 26 BBs, while the TM MEU mag holds 28 BBs. But I guess proportionally they are the same. So TM M1911A1 owners should get the MEU mags for higher capacity?
I do not own or looked at a normal tm m1911, but I do have a regular KWA 1911. The BBs are loaded on a straight line on the regular 1911, while in the MEU mag, the BBs go in in a zig zag pattern. 15 BBs vs 28 BBs, and a larger gas tank. I would conclude the two Tokyo Marui mags are not the same because of that same fact. But it is still a guess as I do not have a regular TM 1911.
Since you have this gun, maybe u can tell me if it is true, that there is not enough gas in the mag, to empty it for all the bullets, powerful enough to be useful?
Yes it does. But, you need to be sure the magazine is fully charged. Since gas escapes during charging, it is difficult to hear when the mag is fully charged. So, charge it 2-3-4 times, about 2-3 seconds each.
When you charge the magazine, some gas will escape from the nozzle, as there is no tight seal between the nozzle and the valve. Because of this, one is never sure when a magazine is fully charged. So what I do is do multiple 2-3 sec charges (maybe 3-4 times), one after the other, to be sure that the mag is fully charged. As for cold day, my cold day is mid 50s, so I do not have much of a problem during a cold day.
@ C4ME1VSM4R1BORO Yes of course you can use Propane on quality ABS plastic like TM's but not on other cheap knock off's of top quality Airsoft gun brands. the fps of the 5-7 is around 200
(0.20g 134a gas). fps of the m1911 is about 300.
there is no metal slide available for the 5-7, for the m1911 there are and the socom gear m1911 is even full metal.
if you want to use it for skirms you should buy the sg m1911.
if you want it just for fun you should get the gun you like most. btw I think the 5-7 looks very realistic.
